Kitbashing a Space Marine Outrider into a Black Templar Zealot. Afterwards, I go into some details on how I painted him to match this awesome new aesthetic. If you've noticed the odd shift from the white background used for kitbashing to the concrete one for painting, it's because I kitbashed this several months ago and then had some analysis paralysis when it came to painting it 😄. I really like that you include your mistakes and pitfalls. If you do not show what can go wrong and how to fix it, then the inexperienced viewer might encounter it himself with maybe noone to help and eventual frustration.

Sometimes i think black templars are for people who love the Kitbashing part but hate the painting part and just slapchop Hightlight or drybrush some black armor
Amazing work, Sigismund would be proud to ride one of those beasts sword in hand.🗡 If i have to make a little observation, i think you could have drilled the exhaust pipes, or at least working more on them by adding some smoke/burnt effect. You put great attention to almost every detail, looks kinda weird a complete closed exhaust (i can see even a mold line), don't u agree? But i think working on that icon has drained almost all of your attention 😅 Anyway this is fantastic, you gave me some insipiration for future kitbashing project.

Basic Primaris may be plain but they make superb canvases and now they're making more and more Chapter Specific Primaris models so, best of both worlds.
I think you should make a model like this and put it into a golden demon. You’d win for sure!
