There’s something to be said about how challenging the pyromancer is to clear ct15s as a fresh character, without fortress, moaning winds spam, etc. I got walled at ct13 for sure. Weapon mods got me to 15s. Cant imagine if I didn’t hVe those
I sincerely hope that PCF understands that there are people like you who are playing their game and enjoying it, a lot. I hope they incorporate your wish list into the game, fix all the issues, and masterfully add new content that will blow your f'n mind. You deserve it for putting so much effort into making amazing content, here. I'm at this point with my Pyro. I kept running into the mitigation issue. Stopped for a bit. This video is really helpful. I will make alterations and give it another go likely later today. Cheers!!
I was using the lower tree till CT 14, but then I switched to a combination of middle tree with one skill from the upper tree to boost my anomaly power 40 % every time I use interrupt skills, with this combination I managed to have balance between damage and survivibility, to clear CT 15, until I complete my acari set then I'll go back to the lower tree probably
I was getting frustrated trying to get Acari gear from expeditions (only had hands drop and destroyed the head piece for the mod once I hit expeditions) , decided to take a break from them and did the hunts, bounties, and relics. Ended up getting the Acari trousers from a cutthroat during the wreckage zone bounty, and a new Acari head piece from the relic quest. Haven't been that excited for a drop since the first week in the demo.

Yeah so I pretty much have all four classes on console and decided to make a new one on PC just to see how smooth the gameplay is and I chose pyro. It's even more difficult if you don't have resources from another character like I did my alts from console — but I see that there are a ton of mods I can use on my budget build for now with this video until I get what I'm looking for.
Did you try by chance the Untamed Power mod? I used it on my anomaly technomancer and it's always the second, sometimes first, on the damage list. It's true that you need to be close to the enemies and fast cooldowns (I could spam melee, blight turret then grenades).
I hope you'll keep playing this game, and I hope the Trickster is next 😀. I finally found a few good teammates to play online with and am enjoying the game again despite co-op problems.
You can go along the top tree if you're using ash blast, you lose a little bit of anomaly power put you gain a lot of cooldown reduction on your ash blast (mine is 11.6s) and you get a lot of nodes that give bonus damage against enemies effected by ash
You go for hot situation which give you an extra 45% ap after casting ash blast which helps with over heat damage to mobs, you can get ashes to ashes which makes enemies vulnerable when they get effected by ash.
You go all the way to the end just missing the last node as it effects fp so no use for it, but it also allows you to go middle tree for 4 points to get wildfire, more cooldown across the board.
With three piece acari heat wave is on 6.7s, overheat 6.6s ash blast 11.6s and thats with missing cooldown on the helmet, I use two heatwaves ash blast, over heat, shadow comet, two moaning winds (shotgun and pistol) and if anything survives that then your heatwaves are just coming back off cooldown.
This could be done with your purple set up you'll just be missing the extra boost from the acari.
I opt to go for captain hunter instead of the third heat wave as you rarely actually need the third one and never for mobs so the constant 25% against elites feels more productive to me
I carried my low level friend, he gets heir to the desert on mountain outpost with 20 hours played…FML

my dude, on Phoenix Force, the buff lasts 8 secs, if you do your full rotation( heatwave x3 + Ash Blast + Overheat), unless some how magically reduced the cooldown of Overheat to below 8 secs, Only heatwave and burns afflicted by heatwave will benefit from it, for about 2 secs. That seems kind of moot to me considering that Overheat is your main damage dealer and will consume the burns that would be benefiting from Phoenix Force. I don't know…I just haven't been able to find the motivation to continue experimenting since I keep finding things that either don't work as described or don't describe what the thing is actually doing.
And you're right CT15 with that build are doable but very hard. I'm just not interested in putting that much effort for the measly chance at getting yet another useless legendary.
