Was listening to abbyhour yesterday say how long and repetitive the end game grind is.
Now the nerfs which will make that even longer.
Plus post / pre order price has not gone down.
Apart from watching your videos I'm not feeling incentivised. If you pass on info I feel like I need a 50% drop in price to jump back in. I do Love the game but don't think this is worth it.

Borealis techno still performs, but definitely squishier.
I def like Outriders a lot, but in them doing this do they still even want people to play? Like why do the nerfs this way? Def makes the game even more harder for new players.
I love the balance changes, I noticed that the changes that made were to smoothly work together with Pax upgrades and the fact you can use ascension points, which can at 50 points can really give you a boost. The overpowered mods they cut down makes sense, folks would be melting through all content easily if they didn't rebalance things. Plus some new mods with the new weapons cross into one another so to give each a bit of uniqueness they changed times and how long certain buffs remain. It's actually a good thing that they went down to the base, they should have done this early last year, but whatever is still really fun.
I'm enjoying my time so far with my techno, I'm running the techmonger and looking for gloves and boots to see what works best, getting the right apocalypse parts is insane though lol, so much crap🤦.
Played with one guy who was using a laser that was one shotting bosses randomly, yikes. This game is still wild as hell, I'm hoping they add more expeditions to ransack my way through and I'm expecting they hope to make a time gap DLC since the Outriders is literally running around in that city for what child easily be years as spoken when you get to the later trials. I'm hoping we get more, game started rough, but if you enjoy tweaking and finding a groove with a class, you can definitely do that, although it's literally still impossible to play from cover, we still don't have grenades like the AI and we can't commandeer their grenade as a mechanic. So like I originally though from the beta, you run around like a lunatic on LSD killing anything that moves. Who don't like a little bit if chaos.
So far I'm not too fussed with the mod balancing. I can see them installing something of a damage cap, but I think that's total output, but I think it's tied to your gear level and not arbitrary, it looks like it increases until you reach max level. I think this was always a thing because I equip the highest level side arm just to ensure my moaning winds does maximum damage, so I think the cap is on the same as the mods. Either way, back to enjoying killing things.

They NEED to boost resources. The amount dropped of pod & anomaly extract asap. Way too much of a grind right now more than ever before
Dam guess I ain’t getting past my sticking point in the expeditions now that all these mods are nerfed
Embalmer’s Rage also changed from a killing shot mod to a crit shot mod. Which is good for bosses but for mobbing it was better before as you could keep it up all the time after a kill until you stopped killing as it overlapped. Now it’s more like you crit a boss and you get 3s or 100% crit chance with a 3s CD since the 6sCD starts as soon as you proc it. Really good for melting a boss now compared to before.
And dark sacrifice they should made it more punishing and left the damage at 50% but made the health it sacrificed higher. Making it more of a high risk high reward mod.
So the damage numbers look a bit misleading due to the increased maximum level. In terms of scaling, are the damage values the same at CT15 from New Horizon to Worldslayers?
You almost forgot that embalmers rage now procs on one crit instead of a kill
I feel like PCF nerf bat so much to make the new mods look and be better…but I don't mind nerfs as long as you can still play the game just need so swap up things and Olathe styles

Well I'm new to Outriders, I've found it difficult to raise Tier levels, I should be playing on T6 but I'm still stuck on T4 and T5, I'm not getting the drops I need to help me survive or do enough damage for T6. So getting pretty tired of this, and omg the cost to buy higher gear is ridiculous on T4 they wanting 9000 + scrap for Blue gear and over 10, 000+ scrap for purples.
Trust me to buy a game that has just had a load of nerfs 🤣
The thing that works with all the nerfs is that if you get it on the Apoc slot, it's still gravy. I think they absolutely did the right thing. With Pax trees and new mods, you can still mow shit down.
Scrap Grenade is so cool in theory, but in practice it's complete trash because the grenade is a slow moving projectile that arcs and the bullet isn't, so unless the enemy is right in your face you can't actually hit the enemy with the scrap grenade and the actual shot. I wish they had fixed that so that the first bullet simply becomes the scrap grenade, and the grenade can proc other mods.
seeing the side by sides it's real clear they wanted to move away from the crutch mods. It's crazy how much they changed them but some of the new ones are wild. also the damage scaling on them is ridiculous so it may balance out at later levels
Please upvote this so he sees it. Strings of Gauss now damages the initial target and makes it a sleeper OP mod. They didn't change the wording in the tooltip, but it 100% hits the initial target and even works as a single target mod now, making it miles better than claymore torrent.
Grand opening and scrap still work well, as weapons have a reload time, so I suppose if you have a fast reload, you need to watch that you're not shooting before you can proc it again.
I finally got my pyro to start hitting for 1 million dmg again, after it was nerfed down to only 100k dmg per shot. It's way more complicated to pull it off tho but my pyro is back!
one of the things I've noticed is that using a setup that can solo T15+EOS made this expansion far too easy. so instead of working on the difficulty level of the new content, they nerfed the main damage dealing mods and in exchange players will "feel" the difficulty to ramp up in a much smoother way. I cant say I agree but seems like a well thought, very lazy but well thought way from PCF to allow the players to not get bored playing Worldslayer.
TBH they should be buffing the tier 1 and 2 mods or even better introduce more tier 1 and 2 mods since majority of the apocalypse gear you find in the game will have tier 1 and 2 mods on them especially on the third slot
