Yeah giving up a gun slot for freeze seems extremely poorly optimized when you could get a freezing turret for a single mod slot on armor rather than giving up a gun and two mod slots for freeze damage. Bone shrapnel = way better than the cold explosion and tier 3 weapon mod for damage = way better than having CC on your gun. Just my opinion but everything that sniper can do you can do better with a better setup. Also good luck in any mission that requires you to stand in the circle while mobs attack. Sub optimal at best, but fun? Sure.
TL;dr = Giving up killing spree on your weapon slot is a huge DPS decrease and thus any gun not running it will always be suboptimal at best.
I have dropped this sniper 4 times now 2 aerie master 2 tourment and agony 2 bleed 3 shotty am ALWAYS getting duplicates its starting to piss me off lol oh and 2 golems limb…
Can you please do a serious guide for solo and group using iceberg. This weapon is what kept me in this game but I can figure our a solo build that would plus off of the iceberg and/or its mods. what are the best stats for it? is borealis good with it? etc? I've been using double freeze turrets since day one then few days later added this gun along with the icicles tier 3 mod .
If only this gun had iron sights.

They need to remove timers on expeditions so that these builds, that may be slower, can shine. It's going to be the diversity of builds and playstyles that keeps the game going.
