Dude oh my god I am so glad you're doing Fusionfall!!! I played that game for many many years, and even played Retro as it shut down. One of my favorite mmorpgs of all time.

Ohhh fusion fall oh nooo. That hurts to see as the next game.
Such a shame that Outriders made it to Death of the game. The gameplay is really really fun for me. The endgame is stupidity lacking and DLC just made it worse.
just like anthem it pains me to see such interesting premises fall due to lack of content, failure to fix issues and seemingly trying too hard to ride the coattales of Destiny

Remember when people said that Outriders failed because PCF put the game on Xbox Game Pass? Good times, good times.
I bought the game and could not get into it. I remember 2 things I didn't like.
1. I could not get into 3rd person for a shooter.
2. The extra long, unskipable, opening title screen. (You can skip it IF you mess with the game files)
The game was amazing I really love it in the starts.. But the loop was boring n annoying and no pvp that hurt alot tbh
"Not a live service" who are they kidding. It was clearly based off of Mass Effect 3's multiplayer which was (a very light) Live Service.
Lying to themselves only hurt them.
Population wise: if its a single player game, and people beat the campaign, and they don't return years later (like most SP players), then it isn't a failure. Unless you expect to sell endless DLC and microtransactions.
from the beginning, even though a lot of people liked it, i knew that it would fail. It just felt way too rough, it seemed more like a game made to kill destiny than an actual passionate game. It was way too bland and generic. I would've preferred if they made interesting games rather than just try to capitalize on trends/success of other games

Outriders was a little bit of "The Division", a little bit of "Anthem", a little bit of "Warframe" and a lot of generic looter shooter, so Angry Joe was right.
Division 2 and Outriders, interesting potential IP ruined by being online only looter shooter nonsense.
Enjoyed this game immensely, it's such a shame they failed with it .
Strange. Why did no one at that company take a lesson from Hellgate: London? This game seemed to copy it's missteps to razor sharp perfection.

Game is actually good i finished it alone like two months ago.the writing and story is good also and the production is nice. Gameplay is fantastic as well you dont find 3d person shooters this good easily. its a same cause the ip has so much potential for real.
I think your script needs a lot of work. It cheapens the presentation and sometimes sounds like it was penned by someone with dyslexia.

Admittedly, I only played the Demo, but during that Gameplay I found the Story to be boring, the Dialogues moronic, the Characters stupid.
The Gameplay itself was okay, nothing I would write home about, but certainly not awful.
But at the end of the day the story really rubbed me the wrong way, you are brought back to the world and blamed for everything?
I would love a game where you can choose the side you want to be on, when they blamed you for things you certainly can't do anything about after they forgot you in a cryo pod, I really felt like" Ye, you know what, screw you then", most people I talked to confirmed that sentiment.

The reason this game didn't work is because Destiny and the Division exist they are Coke and Pepsi whereas Outriders is flat store brand soda…
What a shame! I really liked Bulletstorm and was excited to see what they could do with more experience.
But I've also played the Outriders demo, and it felt like a live service game like destiny. But without the tight controls.
But the game is on sale right now on Steam! lol
Surprised you didnt mention catastrophe at release, like characters loosing all gear and becoming unplayable for like 2 months untill they fixed it
The only thing that kept me playing was the story.. and then that damn plot twist in the end.. that ruined it. Felt like I had wasted the entire journey there, to find out the mystery behind the signal.

Outriders was weird.
I only played the demo, but anytime I spoke about the game, it would be 20 minutes on what that game did well, followed by saying that it didn't grab me and I wasn't going to follow up on it. It seemed like a decent game, it just wasn't for me.
