People Can Fly, a Polish firm, may have been “fine-tuning the objective” for a game like Outriders. After collaborating with Epic Games on Gears of War: Judgment and Bulletstorm, he ventures into the unknown with his most ambitious project yet: a multiplayer-only “shooter” and role-playing game.
The first thing that sticks out is that it is not created as a “game as a service,” unlike the previous ones. There is no need for DLC, battle passes, or future expansions because the game’s content is all on disc. Furthermore, there are no “raids” or competitive modes: Outriders PC is centered on a campaign that can be played by one to three players.
Another one-of-a-kind feature is the location. From the beginning, the PCF and Square-Enix game inundates us with data. The story opens with a frantic attempt to flee the Earth, which has become inhospitable, and humanity seeks shelter on distant worlds. Enoch has the best chance of surviving out of all of them. And it’s there that the Flores ship meets up with the first avant-garde explorers, the Outriders, who are tasked with laying the groundwork for the settlement.
We awoke in a different state 30 years later. Enoch is a world torn by conflict and the presence of mutants and factions… and our body has been modified and is able to influence the elements… All technical components have failed, and the Earth has reverted to a “primitive” state reliant on gunpowder and explosive engines.
The issue is that it follows in the footsteps of other “giants,” and it’s impossible not to notice traces of these other games in every aspect of Outriders. It’s not uncommon to come across locations that look like they belong in Gears of War, as well as weapon designs and pieces of equipment that look like they belong in Destiny or circumstances from The Division. It’s a shame, because Outriders would have been a standout with a bit more individuality.
Outriders Crack is a shooter with deep RPG undertones that is a lot of fun to play and has an offensive bent that we enjoy. It just has one flaw: it’s very generic in terms of design. Fast-paced multiplayer, both solo and cooperative, with no battle passes or microtransactions.
