I didn’t like FP Dev at first but as I played other classes and builds I’ve come to appreciate it more and now I really enjoy the mayhem of close range carnage. Not as strong and fast as other classes’ FP builds, and a bit harder to play (especially in co-op), but it is good fun.
I’ve tried many different mods and trees for both sets and those versions feel the best to me. I streamlined them for easy switching but not because I think they’re good for different things or areas, I don’t find anything particularly easier or harder with one than other. Deathproof is a bit tankier and Statue does a bit more damage, but I pretty much choose which to play based on if I feel like Boulderdashing or not. I like the skill but it pisses me off how they fucked it up.
I definitely prefer SMG over shotgun, though. Kills bosses faster due to much higher RPM and larger mag, but mainly it just feels better to me. And I really like how it sounds with that skin, that’s pretty big part of it.
All in all FP Dev not great but solid and a lot of fun to play.
