  1. Really enjoying it so far but the price point will put many off buying, this will probably kill the game off early unfortunately. Quality wise, it doesn't feel like a ÂŁ60 title.

  2. The story and dialogue are terrible, cover is stupid in a game where you’re supposed to run and gun, the omnipresent cut scenes are baffling. The stuttering in cut scenes really bothered me.

  3. One issue that I’ve had and haven’t heard anyone talk about, is the syncing of sounds with movement in the cutscenes. I’ve have time where my guy does something and no sound follows for a good few moments, or have the characters speaking before their models start the motions.

  4. I was exited for this, buy after playing the demo for 6-7 hours I'm way less hyped. Movement and cover is clunky, environment and maps are generic and looks meh, and there's way to much loading and cutscene. I'm not impressed! It's Gears Of War with loot. I will wait and see.

  5. The awful writing put me off quite a bit along with wave upon wave of bullet sponge enemies…. it gets pretty boring. I'm seriously not trying to dis this game, I want something new for sure but, as much as youtubers and critics are hyping this game, I don't see it. It's…. meh…. just meh….

  6. I was level 6 and jumped into a friends game at level 4. 2 levels higher and I was turning groups of enemies into red mist with 1 shotgun round. It was fun but took all the difficulty out the fight . It'll make playing with the same group difficult if you don't always play at the same time unless you're OK with being stupidly overpowered.

  7. Great review. I have gone through with all 4 classes. At the end of the day there is still some work needed on the cover mechanics. With that being said all 4 classes play different and I truly had fun playing this games with each class. It has been pretty rare for me to find a game and not imediately cling to one class and a specific style of play. This game was fun and diverse. I look forward to the full release.

  8. Is it perfect? No. Will it be GOTY? Nope. But is it fun as hell? Absolutely and we haven’t even got to crafting, mods, and the set bonuses. The co-op was good too.

  9. Idk why everyone is saying it’s great? To me it was meh. Nothing really blew my mind and the fact that you can’t turn off motion blur in 2021 is bullshit

    Also I wouldn’t buy this for $60

  10. I agree with everything 100%. I really hope this demo and the feedback actually affect the game post launch. Some things have already been addressed like the motion blur and the 30 FPS lock on cutscenes. Just last night, they patched the demo and fixed the latency issues and FPS drops while playing Co-Op. It plays smooth as butter today. So I guess that's a great start!

  11. I think you guys said it well, for me it just doesnt feel like theres a reason to choose Outriders. Like, theres nothing I see in the game and go "Wow, now THIS is something to be excited about"

  12. I can only agree with you on the negative feedback but i'd like to add one more little thing and that is if you want to climb onto an object you more often than not just roll into it, i mean there are moments when i try to climb something thats not actually climbable but the cases where i want to climb a ledge and would need 3 tries till it works… annoying, especially with enemys touching my sweet butt!

  13. On a 100 point scale it scores a 92 For every flaw I find. I take a point away.
-1: the cut scenes were a little too great in value but I understand what they were trying to do.
-1: the audio doesn't sync to the animation in the cut scenes most of the time.
-1: the animation in the cut scenes are very choppy in some areas.
-1: the tanks in the beginning don't seem very finished.
-1: voice acting isn't really good in the cut scenes.
-1: we don't get to shuffle through all three weapons that we equip for some reason and only have access to two for some reason. Doable but it's a flaw nonetheless.
-1: we don't get to choose what kind of voice we have.
-1: character customization isn't very good but it doesn't need to be the focus of the game. Anthem tried that and it didn't turn out so good.

8 flaws and most of them are very miniscule but need to be fixed. But most of them regard the cut scenes.
Combat wise it's fantastic. Good controls. Foreign to me. But I'll get the hang of it. And the powers. I love that it's an ability focused shooter and the cool downs are very good.
17 seconds for my pyromancer cool down vs a full minute for any of my warlock abilities in Destiny. Outriders wins by a landslide.

So yeah, if the devs fix the issues the game scores a perfect 100.

  14. I guess that's why the phrase "To each its own" exist, because I can't wait for this to officially come out in April so I can mess with the crafting system and the rest of the skill features and Powers I'm loving every moment of this demo and I want MOREđź’Şđź’Ş

  15. Im excited for this game. It looks like a looter shooter done right. I wish some of the cutscenes flowed more seemlessly instead of fading to black twice for a 2 second clip but aside from that it looks like fun

  16. So this was not only my first introduction to Outriders, but also my first introduction to Legacy Gaming here on YouTube. I have to say that this review was awesome. It was extremely professional, honest, and covered all aspects of the game including concerns with issues that need to be addressed as well as it's current strengths. I really enjoyed the reviewers narration, style, and pacing in this video. He was able to cover all the information a viewer like me was looking for in a video game review without going off on unrelated tangents or unnecessarily rehashing the same bullet points ad nauseum like some other Youtubers I have watched do. Excellent work, I look forward to your future reviews. Outsiders and other loot shooters, as you call them, isn't my usual game genre of choice, as I primarily play Survival games, RPG's and ARPG's, but watching this review has given me a small taste of the kind of game Outriders is and how it plays, and that was much appreciated.

  17. I honestly couldn't get past the beginning.

I think I'm just burnt out on the insanely repetitive storyline intro with the same guys giving orders and Intel and options that have become so redundant.

    Maybe I'm just jaded.
I'll try it again another time.

I think I'm just too hopeful for a game that breaks all the basic outlines and goes fully original.

  18. I think there is a ton under the hood but in people's first look you won't see it. I didn't until I saw your videos and discovered it more. I am trying to explain to friends about skills, mods, etc in the hopes they keep playing because I generally like this game.

  19. I honestly just don’t like how janky the character movement looks, and it seems like a step back compared to other games. Reminds me of that recent werewolf game that just released. I might have been hyped if this game released out about ten years ago.

  20. Controls could use some polishing. Abandon the mindset that using cover is needed for survival: it isn't. Once I stopped trying to turtle, I actually performed better and had more fun. I actually had an easier time with the Boss of the demo than the Captain sub-boss. I only cover when I need to reload.

  21. COVER SYSTEM NOTE!!! I also felt the cover system was “clunky” or non-responsive. I decided to bounce quickly around cover trying to figure out why. After 10-15 mins or so I found something that might help. It seems that with the cover system, rather than auto grabbing cover directly in front of you, it grabs the cover your cursor is pointed at. This allows for very long distance “slide” to cover actions as well as fast and snappy wall grabs, but it does take some getting used to. Kind of frustrating at first, but only because I’m so used to division.

  22. Gamers are spoiled…… This game when not compared with anything else is a very fun game. We all have to start appreciating a game as it's own. It has lots of loot. It has a good shooting mechanic and powers. Covers system is ehh, but not really suppose to use that too much anyway. Character customization is a ? at the moment simply because I don't know how much I will be able to change the look of my gear, face, color of weapons etc. in the future so can't judge that just yet. Servers are rather bad though, It crashes a lot especially when trying to sell or deconstruct a lot of items at once while on a team. Can't say I've run into this problem solo though, but that's an easy fix I would assume. Graphics are good. Story so far is interesting enough. Voice acting and facial glitches are there, but it's not game breaking I would say. Now all of my experience is on PSN so don't know how it goes on other platforms.

  23. The one thing I thought was stupid was the fact there's no way to see your companions character names. All you ever see is their Steam account name. So what was the point of spending ten mins thinking up something fabulous.

  24. The motion blur and camera shake honestly don't bother me at all. I'm really enjoying the demo and I can't wait for the full release! The cover system could definitely be a bit better, it's a little messy as is but it's far from keeping me from liking the game. I do feel like the demo doesn't do the best job of showing off the potential this game has as anyone following the game knows how much better it will be later but for those who haven't it doesn't leave the best impression. It doesn't help that the first area of the game is so generic in terms of gear, enemies and locations compared to what we know will be coming later.
