I have seen many people using purple gear over legendary and I have also seen people say that blues can be even better when you upgrade them to purple rarity and put mods on them.   1. The devs dropped the ball with the static rolls on legendaries. The art on them looks awesome but I only use purples and I'm now finding myself bored running expeditions to get more pointless legendaries when I have most of the mods and it's pointless to equip most of them. Players should be able to run the campaign again also and not be nerfed to lvl 42. Really enjoyed the game but if this doesn't change I doubt people will stick around to keep farming.

  2. If you have the pre-purchase package level up the Earth Borne Assault rifle, in endgame, and then increase it's rarity to gain the second perk. It is arguably the best assault rifle in the game right now.

  3. Some of the ledge guns are shit but when you combined certain tier 3 talents together that work they become amazing take the juggler for instance if you put on that grand opening the thing turns into a grenade launcher that does 500k damage before multipliers

The thing killing me on this game so far is the amount of loading screens i been farming the beasts and to start 1st have to load to the town then fast travel to the beast area then load into the beast area after completion travel to camp then go to the truck travel to the next town. More than 75% of the time running this farm is consumed by loading screens its too much in my opinion

  5. I'd say it depends. Some legendary weapons and armor pieces just plain suck. Using the right legendaries with the proper mod combinations though and you're ready to wreck CT15 content solo. Satisfying feeling.

Yeah for now the legendary’s are underwhelming let’s wait until they do like maybe three more updates and watch I understand what they’re trying to do they just don’t want you using one set of legendary’s they want you to try all the weapons try different builds but let’s be honest add the state of the game that is now no absolutely not it does not work

  7. The legendaries look amazing, but they should really stand out to worth the low drop rates as they are rn… If purples are cheaper to enhance and are better overall no one gonna use, just break to get mods or sell to use the resources.

  8. The main thing legendaries give is going to be legendary skills.
    never upgrade attributes except for level 50 gear. they get rerolled on rarity/level increase, so the materials get wasted.
    There is a glitch with hidden stats, weapon scaling. PCF needs to figure that out, as weaker weapons can out damage stronger weapons at times.
    Finally, in the hunt for best, never ignore blues. With 3 desirable attributes (example, firepower, close, long dmg) and a skill you use, then you can just slot that sucker right in. Even without a skill you use, you have a chance to get a useful one on upgrading rarity, then you can replace the original skill.

  10. You're right, in a way.
    The Legendary gear (and especially when it comes to armor sets even more) aren't always the best items, in and of themselves. It's the mods that they come with. Having them, so you can use them on other items to either run two tier 3 mods on a item, or really build up your god roll epic items.
    If they truly wanted to make the Legendary items actually viable (other than for their mods) each item should have its own internal intrinsic perk (almost a 3rd mod, so to say) that makes the gear stand out above the rest. It doesn't need to be game breaking perk.
    But having another tier 1, tier 2, type ability intrinsically built in would be enough of a dynamic to steer some away from thinking a full glass cannon build is the only option.
    As it sets now, the set bonuses from running 3 pieces of most of the legendary armor sets are a joke. If they took the tier 3 mods that dealt with elites/range that some come with (toned them down a bit to a tier 1 tier 2 mod type level) made those the set bonuses and made sure all the tier 3 mods were skills based then they'd be more worthwhile to run. Even if the attribute rolls aren't 100% in line with your desired build setup.

  11. I never use firepower in games because they can be misleading. In many cases the use reload speed, range and other things to calculate it. I like to do the math myself if possible. I select the range I want to use the gun in and calculate with dmg per bullet, rate of fire, chc, chd and mods/talents. (I know it’s not perfect but after I chose a weapon according to the range I want to play it, I disregard optimal range and reload speed….) Depending on the calculation of firepower by the game, you could get a higher firepower gun with lower dps.

  12. just give legendary items random rolls besides the 1 perk they always have and u would have a reason to go for them! these guys are absolute garbage in this looter game genre imo.

  13. It’s the T3 mods that make the legendaries strong. An Amber Vault with both Killing Spree and Embalmer’s Rage/Fortress or Inferno Seed with Wrath of Moloch and Killing Spree will demolish that gun.

I like my 3 piece set seismic commander 50% bleed as I run 3x earthquake bleeds before the build was even known by youtubers (no offense to youtubers) But most of the time I like looking for blues with the right Stat rolls and ugrading those instead. I do have leggo guns though, thunderbird with fortress on it. Soloing some challenge tier 15s earlier with it.

    Edited: 50% dmg to bleeding enemies. I oofed.
