  2. Live service runs your game instance on companies server([thin-]client/server architecture), Outrider runs on your own computer. This means they have magnitudes of less traffic and server power to pay. It also has legal implications like resellabity and general consumer rights. This is essentially the core about this architectural decision and obviously a GAAS is a much better setup for mtx and such and also for termination of service on their side without having to fear about legal implications. It is a limited access license vs full ownership of the product.

  10. @Legacy Gaming, Why is everyone saying Outriders is not a games as a Service. When the only way you can play this PVE game through their SERVERS. I've been kicked from the Demo or can't play it because connection issues with their Servers. Will the connection issue be fixes…?

  12. I like that there is no ability to trade gear between players. If you want a particular weapon, then play the game or farm for it. Duping and trading is what wrecked Borderlands, Fallout 76 and other looter shooters. Content creators….you are going to have to farm with the rest of us ha ha! I'm very optimistic about Outriders.

  14. If the demo wasn't released I would have just gotten the game on game pass but considering how fun this small portion of the game is I preorder the game after playing it for like 2 days. I have a lot of hope for this game

  15. Abby, wanted to touch on a point you made when talking about hoarding copies of legendaries for modding. I personally had so much fun imagining how my Thunderbird is going to behave with Arie Master's levitate mod for CC or the Golem armor mod from Golem's Limb for better survivability
