  1. I'm kind of glad the Empire AP kite seems trash now. Kite and healblob are the two things I hate playing against if they are effective. And due to the witch hunter changes Empire's frontline holds better and cannons were buffed so they did get better tools for stationary gunline.

  2. CA should not nerf the war waggons by decreasing the damage for long range. I only play SP and because the early Empire is utter trash the war waggons are the only tools to beat Festus with two Nurgle malee heroes. Why do you MP guys unsing the war waggons? Why no Demis or steam tanks or "elite" Empire Inf. for dealing damage? Because it is trash! The cannons were also trash (hope 5.0 will change this) and the morte will always be trash. CA should nerf the war waggons by increasing its price. I hear many MP – players complaining about this war waggon build but what is the alternative? Greatswords? Handgunners? Handgunners are way too squishy and i do not think that the Nuln ironsides are much better they will get destroyed by the same units which destroy Handgunners.

But have to say i love your contenent and enjoy landbattles.

  3. Can you test them with more chevrons? Each chevron give them increased accuracy.
Pretty sure new engineers can give increased accuracy, so they are nerfed with FLC, but can be better with DLC so this might be a reason why they nerfed them + to not make games with new "snipers" units too oppressive.

  4. I'm wondering if anyone would use the outriders anyway if they don't have any real accuracy. If they do good leadership damage via the shot at morale debuff maybe, but if they cannot find something to make them worth bringing they will not be used anywhere except for the grenade variant

  5. these guys need their accuracy back, if the enemy just leaves a shooting unit to dakka all game why shouldnt it pay for itself and then some?

its painful seeing all those repeater shots miss by a country mile

  6. Personal hot take: I'm fine with War Wagons having bad effective range, but they should be given much better melee defence and health as well as a weaker version of the Steam Tanks new missile block mechanic.

Historical war wagons weren't used for skirmishing. They were closer to mobile encampments and usually didn't move much once they were in the right place. They were meant to be in the thick of battle, simultaneously providing cover and an elevated platform to ranged units as well as giving infantry something to back up against.

I'd rather have them as a sort of support unit you can use to anchor your line than them being a sort of fat skirmish cav.

Also, I have yet to see a game where the new Outriders didn't look like complete garbage. The only replay I've seen so far where they made back their value, they were allowed to shoot Skarbrand and a bunch of dual weapons Chosen of Khorne and even in that game they didn't seem to do much damage.

At this point, I'm genuinely wondering if Pistoleers aren't just going to be better most of the time, in spite of their lack of AP.

  7. I wonder if they could make the outriders with repeaters a hit and run unit which could be quite similar to a tactic against the thick pike formations popular in the pike and shot age of warfare, in which the Horsemen would ride as a group in a circle and take shots with pistols at the enemy formation, always staying out of range of their foes pikes. But if the enemy had ranged support The tactic usually didn't work, so I'm thinking that would be the sort of counter to the outriders in game as a glass cannon that could do massive damage up close but they would have to be careful to avoid getting surrounded or shot to pieces by ranged units.
