It leaves a bad first impression, but once you get into the feel of the game and your character, it feels damned good to play. Come for the gameplay, skip the story.

I played the demo and really enjoyed it, but I thought the beginning area was a bit weird and super bland looking. I can tell just after watching the gameplay here that I'm already gonna enjoy the game a lot more than the demo so I went ahead and bought it
Game seems meh. Only reason to play is that I'm bored with the division 1 and 2…that said , I'm watching other people play while I continue to play the division 1 and 2 😂
There is only 1 type of person that would like this game. And that's people who LOVED both Borderlands AND Gears of War. If you weren't a major fan of both those games then don't even waste your time because you'll just be disappointed. And the Borderlands side of things is pretty small IMO. The loot mechanics aren't that great. It's not like every enemy drops a new weapon ir something. It's fairly limited.
Tried the demo, didn't really grab me, so I didn't even finish it. I will play the full game though; gamepass.

I don't buy or play a huge amount of different games so haven't got diverse comparison but personally this is the best and most enjoyable game I've experienced in a long long time. When they iron out the creases of release day issues it'll be amazing to play for most I think.
So the beginning stages of the game is fun but right now there are server issues and even though you can play the game solo without the multiplayer aspect to it the current state of the game requires that you have an online connection always on. Which sucks tbh because now you have to wait for them to fix it so you get back into the game

Played 84 minutes of the Demo before the servers kicked me out of the game. Feels like a 40$ game at most to me. (Even after all bugs are fixed) That's me from the Demo though.

Weird that your experiencing crashes on console. I'm playing on PS5 and haven't had one yet. I do notice it takes too long to initially log into the game, but after that it's silky smooth.
This game is terribly mediocre only smooth brains like soulless destiny clones.

It looks like every other open world grinding simulator with braindead copypaste objectives and zero atmosphere gameplaywise. I'll pass.
So far so good, and fortunately Outriders is on game pass, so less buyer remorse equals a better experience overall!
Oh yeah also this game is FUCKING HARD like dark souls level hard, it gets to the point where the game is unplayable alone.
