Outriders Demo- I Am Still Undecided About This Title

Outriders demo is here and so far, there is no “wow” factor in this game to pull me to adopt it. Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about the Outriders Game.

  1. I mean it’s okay. It’s fairly clunky and primitive as a cover based RPG shooter when you even compare it to the Division series games but it’s not bad. Doesn’t grab me in the way as the way the Division games do. Seems bland honestly but not bad really.

  2. From what I've played so far I'm happy that I bought the game. I've enjoyed the storytelling and the lore so far and I really just want to get stuck into the full game. It is something different which is great, definitely better than the boredom that Destiny has become and I can see myself levelling up all classes. So hopefully it fills in that game for the next few months until the new Div 2 content arrives.

  3. How can you say you don't like shooters when you make content for just that? The Division is a shooter game. It's a cover shooter. If you don't like those games then why are you making content for Division??

  4. Remember though, this isn't Division, it's Outriders. We can never put these two games in any conversation together. These devs care. They want feedback and they deliver them. Unlike Ubisoft/ Massive that don't care about the communities opinion

  5. This game did not impress myself. I don’t feel pressured when I was under fire and taking cover. Taking the “wow” factor aside, the Division 2 also did not “wow” myself. The pacing and mechanic feels clone of many other games. Maybe the gaming community had too much of Division 2 and we can’t get used to other games.

  6. That's what I thought too playing the demo for a couple hours. There was so much cinematic scenes I was getting bored and impatient. It could be instead in-game dialogue with the cinematic scenes for the major story parts.

  7. Actually there are ALOT OF Similarities…. so much so that the same controls for cover and movement from cover to cover are the same. Even the npc types are shockingly similar. The movement kind of resembles gears of war. The ability’s resemble destiny, and the skills and gun archetypes are almost exactly like division. This game was developed to target the division and destiny community this is soooo obvious!!!

  8. I've tried it for around 3 hours. There's some graphical issues sure. It will support graphics cards from six ago on Recommended (Ultra) settings which is sort of a godsend to us PC gamers stuck in new Graphics Card limbo with that current global stock (and price) problem. Control wise I find it janky, with the default 1.0 mouse sensitivity too slow and setting it up to even 2.0 can make it very, very sensitive (on my play, as a trickster). I'd say it's more like multiple crosses of other games 😉 (ME: Andromeda, Destiny, of course Gears since the studio did some development for it). The mechanic of constantly being aggressive in order to regain health somewhat calls back to using a nomad build in division. It's priced at $60 but apparently here in my country it plays around at $55 so I dunno. I'll still have to unload some other game to give space for the final version.

World Tier's only stuck to WT3, only easy. kind of interesting how bullet spongey the enemies will be come WT15. Thankfully I had some time playing Gears way back in the day. But I like it.

  9. I will say what many others have said before me,it’s not the division. Take or don’t take the game on it’s merits. For me it is ok and I’ve enjoyed all 4 classes. I like the health mechanics and find it a refreshing change to get up n personal with the enemies rather than sit behind a wall and let a turret wear a mobs armour down etc etc. That being said, the game has not,”wowed” me either and I do agree that there to many waste of time cutscenes, customisation is weak and although some say the story is good I personally find it a little lacking… I tend to agree with others that it’s probably not worth the price tag but I am prepared to pay it as I already know I will get my entertainment worth out of it. I’m also glad you’ve noted that it is a PVE game as I’m sick of the pretend pvpers comments saying,” oh no pvp well this game needs it blah blah blah”.

  10. I think it's a lot of fun and will get better. I am not a fan of the world tier system and I think the environments are a bit too gated but I have it pre ordered and I'm sure I'll have a good time with it.

  11. i wish this game had servers like division. coz PTP servers just suck.
i play with friends and the lag is bad. unlike Division servers , in division is Amazing even if i play on the US or any other server no lag at all. coz in Division/2 is not PTP.

  12. I'd be interested in knowing the player stats on not getting past the Square Enix log in screen. I tried making an account for over an hour with no luck. Its a NO buy for me.
