  1. Gunplay was good. Definitely agree that the demo was a bit too short. Will have to find friends to jam this, would be interesting if you can combine powers. The cutscenes were definitely not my favourite, like I would watch them but something just felt disconnected.

  2. Permanent online means I can't pause while playing solo. Movement feels janky, snapping to cover doesn't work a lot of the time (seems a bit finicky), cut scenes are like GR Breakpoint but with added earthquake effects, motion blur is immensely distracting, the whole screen feels like it blurs, audio in cutscenes is a lot softer than ingame.

    BUT

Abilities look cool, lighting effects look fantastic, performance in the prologue felt great (not so much thereafter). game itself looks great when not in a monotone arena. Excited to see some updates and tweaks and have these incorporated into the demo before release. As you said, tentative

  3. This game also commits the sin of not letting you perform an action until the game tells you it is possible to do so (i.e. sprinting etc) at least it's a minor complaint that

  4. Pretty much nailed it with the review. Played a couple of hours on it last night and enjoyed it ( a nice diversion from The Division 2). Some of the cut scenes felt cheesy bit the gameplay as a whole felt on point.

  5. Have about 10 hours in the demo and love it, aside from the level design, the fact that captains/boss type enemies have different powers each time you run through a quest makes every run different, had a nasty combo of laser orbs + vortex that took a few tries. Also, the party gameplay is solid. I agree on character customization, but for me the aesthetic, gun play, and class distinction is so good I can look over level design and character customization downfalls. To me, it matches warframe on how different each class feels, which was my biggest issue with Destiny and Anthem.

  6. The player's eyes are bothering me. Not set in the socket properly. I thought it was kind of boring but played for about an hour. Not a fan of the moving cover to cover system. Gears felt more cinematic too, movement here just feels dull.

  7. I like the game overall. Had a lot of fun got a few issues though. There was this horrible audio dialogue and lipsync bug that was consistent all the way through. There was also a decent amnt of crashing at least on the ps4. Not cyberpunk levels but still I hope those get fixed

  8. I thought this was supposed to be first person and the fact you can’t play it as such is an immediate deal breaker. This looks like bargain bin gears with early 2000s textures absolute pass

  9. I have a lot of problems with this demo. The game needs a TON of work before i would consider getting it. I have a very very high end pc and there are parts in the game where my FPS drops down to 40 and it felt REALLY stuttery. The cutscenes feel like watching a slide show. They feel AWFUL when going from higher frame rates down to 30. The entire experience felt jank. With the parts i have in my pc this game should run WAY smoother than this did. I don't know if it is because anthem was recently taken out back and shot, but this game reminded me of that game a LOT in all the wrong ways.

  10. It started well with a Mass Effect vibe then went downhill after a certain part where the character wakes up a second time to, what feels to me, like an uninspired Gears of War clone. Gone was the open-world I'd hope to explore and in its place were set-piece "rooms" separated by cutscenes and uninteresting characters. The graphics are fine but the art style is generic and the character models look odd with plasticky skin and strange lifeless eyes.

Nice that I got to play then demo but this is not for me… didn't like Destiny (1 or 2) and while I enjoyed Gears of Wars on the Xbox 360, it is a franchise that feels tired now for me (though it looks good!).

  11. I played this demo to lvl7 world tier 5 on all 4 characters and I gotta say there are a few issues like manteling that could definitely be refined if not added into the game play especially with all the enemy encounters you go through. The aiming on console is a little junky but was slightly refineable if you take your time in the menu. The weapons were pretty cool, for a demo there was a decent amount of variety. Enemies are spongey but that's to be expected and the abilities were actually pretty effective if you combo them correctly making tough encounters MUCH more doable. I'm excited for the release of the game but there are definitely some minor and major tweaks that could make the game more enjoyable overall.

  12. For me the game just feels bland. I played through all available content with the technomancer class and at no time did I say to myself "wow.. That was amazing". Everything was just kind of meh; the character creation, the story, the combat, the skills… All meh
