  1. I think for me is the frustration I see in my friends trying out the demo and thinking I'll go in cover as in other looter shooters. Their frustration was trying to do say the Terra mission solo and getting completely overwhelmed. They know they can't hide in cover yet all the enemy fire is overwhelming. The get mad, well one of them, and just quit the demo. I helped him get his Pyro to L7 WT5 and he's definitely less squishy but still wonders how he would've done that alone. I experienced some of that frustration earlier on with Gauss. Not sure how things though.

  2. The cover system is strange to start with because they want you to not use it but have it everywhere, not sure if the hybrid route was good but I did enjoy the demo. Cover system was a bit off at times though and I think having a fun playing experience is key in a genre where there's other looter shooter options.

  3. My personal take, sure they can tweak it out, but it's not as huge of a problem than people makes it out to be. I feel there's too many people trying to play Gears or Division style here. Just run instead while reloading so you can dodge some bullets or get near a target to melee/kill/cc them and get your health back. Stop playing like cowards, it works wonder.

  4. It wasn't the best idea to make the whole shooting tutorial from a cover situation…this "teaches" the players from the beginning to use cover as it would be madnatory for succes.

I wish they would simply add crouch and remove all the cover stuff. But thats just me.

  5. All do respect to division players this is run and gun without medkits dev should work on dlc and better other system my opinion this is where you separate the boys from the men

  6. idk dude…they have freaking super powers, why not add some super jump or anything like this? The cover system counter the gameplay they want us to play, very agressive play with cover? why?

  7. Comming from Division 2, this cover system is just a disaster.
It is good that they will revamp it. If they don't want gamers to use it why they even implement it?

I understand it is class based and this is bread and butter for technomancer, but not for devastator

  8. We’re supposed to play aggressively which means not overly relying on cover to achieve victory.

But that doesn’t mean never using cover. I see that misunderstanding a lot. So it’s important they get the cover system right.

    Especially in boss fights.

  9. They need to dump the cover system and make a crouch button. This game is not meant to be played in cover. Its very odd that everything is maximized by playing aggressive. I would be beyond bored sitting in cover all the time. Is it fun to sit back and snipe sometimes? Sure, but I dont need a cover system to do that. Just give me some things to get behind when needed. I will say you're really missing out if you rely on the cover system.

  10. The biggest issue with cover is the fact they made a cover shooter game with gameplay that is completely counterintuitive to use cover. Personally I wouldve rather had a true cover shooter like gears or mass effect 3's multiplayer than the rushing into a fire fight like some damn bullet sponge but like of people like that type of gameplay.

  11. @Vulkan, I personally don't think cover is as broken or wonky as the babies are going on about. If you have played Gears of War then you'll be familiar to this cover system. No it's not perfect but this is not a cover to cover shooter. It's all about going Ham with your Powers.

  12. If they can just fix the cover to make the transitions smooth between going in and out of cover, that would be great and it would also be nice to have a grab ability, to be able to grab someone on the opposite side of cover or do some tactic like popping over the wall like gears and blow em into pieces or mess em up with your power lol

  13. It’s annoying from time to time so I’d say take a look at it, but I wouldn’t make it a priority. A lot of things you can just stand behind while reloading. If this happened in a gears of war game then hell yeah I’d prioritise it, but this isn’t game breaking.

  14. I mained a devastator and I think cover slows down the game and never needed to use it, even not for a breather. My other toon is a technomancer and I felt the need for a cover but this time both cover system and technomancer skills felt clunky. Game does not give you any time to breathe and requires you to constantly move.

  15. When I played the demo the cover system indeed felt off, especially coming from The Division 2 which has a great cover system that felt more intuitive and integrated with the flow of you movement.
