  1. Thanks for the review, guys! I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed with all of the flaws in this game. I was hoping that this could be my new multiplayer fix. The developers seemed so confident when they released the beta/demo. Hopefully, they can fix these issues fast and make this game live up to the hype. I don't need it to be perfect, just good enough to play with friends and not have to deal with constant frustration.

  2. I could watch 10 reviews that will tell me everything I need to know about a game and I'll still come to Easy Allies, if only for the benefit of listening to that velvety voice of Vampire Bill…er…I mean Brandon Jones. But seriously, Easy Allies reviews are all you need.

  3. What a mediocre cliché of a game. I'm staying with The Division 2 and Remnant From the Ashes, thank you very much. Also.. "live service game trends" without it actually being a live service game? Yeah, right. I'm not falling for that bullshit. And that's just as dumb as advertising something as "Single Player MMORPG".

  4. Good review, but I'll take the chance to explain why I like the interrupt system the way it is. I heard you guys talking about it on Frame Trap and have been thinking about it ever since.

That resistance thing is common in Monster Hunter, too. Monsters become less and less susceptible to flashing, mounting or status effects the more you apply these in a hunt. This is good because it makes everything strategic, you need to pick the right moments to use your tools. You save the flash pods for big nova attacks, your status coatings/ammo for when the monster is enraged, or you stop flying around with the glaive because you've already mounted the monster once or twice and it'll be better to go for another mount at the end of the hunt, when the monster is more dangerous. (Side note: in World the glaive did more damage with ground attacks, so not going for the mount all the time was good pratice anyway).

I use interrupts in Outriders pretty much the same way. That first boss you see in the review, for example. I don't really care if he's charging a lightning bolt power, I can dodge that or hide behind cover. However, his shock mines are annoying; they limit where I can move while shooting at him and/or can hit me behind cover, so I saved my interrupts for them. If I could interrupt him every single time, the fight would be a joke. Some interrupt powers have base cooldowns of mere 20 seconds or so even before any buffs or changes to them. It'd be like flashing a monster constantly so it never attacks true in MH.

  5. Great review, server crashes, inventory wipes, inop-crossplay, do not do multiplayer because of a inventory bug. Game is a mess that should have been delayed at a minimun 6 months. Game is a mess 16 days out from launch.

  6. Demo was a snoozefest, would never bother even trying it for free

In the end it's just another bad game where you shoot at bullet sponges until you get a better weapon and shoot at more bullet sponge enemies with more damage.

The type of game built for dopamine fried individuals with addictive personality type who need periodic "rewards" to feel like they accomplished something while actually doing nothing at all.

  7. I think it's OK for a game to just last and "be fun" for you for a couple of months or so. I see comments like "this game won't last a year." but honestly, does it really need to?

I definitely put in about 40 or so hours into this game as a guilty pleasure over the past week since I've downloaded it and have been loving it. Granted, I got if off Game Pass so my viewpoint is a bit skewed. If I had paid 70 bucks for it, I wouldn't be happy with it at all.

Still though – chill. Games don't need to last forever in order to have fun with it.

  8. Feels or plays not that different with most looter shooters like The Division, Destiny, or Anthem, especially with that dumb bullet sponge enemies and bland / repetitive gameplay. Kinda sad this type of game is the one who dominates the gaming market this days and maybe for the next decade…

  9. The main thing that bothered me about this game is it's item system. Made it hard to navigate and I didn't even know I had a second bag for a sniper I picked up about 30 minutes ago. Also it takes you out of combat longer as it has to "unload" the field for the UI, then "unload" the UI for the field, which is slow and tedious. Boarderlands made it better as you can see through the menu and it loading in field so you can make snap decisions on what you need to quickly do. Here, it's just "Hey check out this wall. You don't know if som'in's sneaking up on ya but what a nice wall~"
