  1. Has it ever occurred to you that the entire stasis element exists just to punish you personally for always saying "stay frosty", since now, that's literally what the entire pvp game play is? staying locked in ice forever…

  2. Not gonna lie, with the issues in the beta, it really has me interested. This may be the first game I buy either on release or slightly preorder because I like what I got to play a lot. The theme and setting feels more developed and flushed out than some of the "other" games like this.

  3. Completely agree with everything. The cover system especially. Like what datto said, the cover system is ok until several enemies are shooting at your direction along with other enemies throwing grenades at you, and there's no collision, so even if you're on the other end of a wall with a grenade on the opposite side, it will still hit you.

  4. Dunno about others, but I quite liked the demo. Might have been because, well, the devs had the balls to actually GIVE US A DEMO, so we can actually SEE the game.
It has issues; camera shakes EVERYWHERE make me nauseous, motion blur mid-combat makes me omnicidal, the class balance ISN'T and the story needs some work (though it isn't complete trash, it lacks pizzazz).
End result; don't preorder but don't be afraid to try it out. It's enjoyable, quirky, aggressive, doesn't hold back for political correctness and has potential. If you can rope in a couple of friends for it, it'll be a blast.

  5. The voice acting of the male protagonist is way better. Its like … actually pretty good and I like it. the females is so blah.
Also if you didn't turn off motion blur with the .ini edit you really should. its much better off that way.

  6. I think folks opinion of the game was kinda 50/50 some loved some hated, nothing against it but I wasn't a fan, it felt to clunky and I genuinely didn't care for the story (not that destiny has an amazing in game story) but at least the game feels better to me.

  7. Eh after playing the demo I came to the same conclusion I did for any game, I'm just gonna come back to it months and months and months and months and months and months and months and months and months and months down the line when it's probably on discount and I will probably just play it for the story and then just leave, honestly I can't commit any time to outriders at the moment because all my time is being taken up playing Monster hunter rise which will probably hold my full attention for several several several several several months. demo was fun but if I'm being honest I remember when I played the division way after it was 100% fixed and even with that game I literally just played it for the story and then deleted it, that's all I play games for the story after that I'm just not interested anymore unless it's Monster hunter in which case I will play pretty much all the content that monster hunter has to offer I played MHW/iceborne from start to finish and grinded my ass off to get that Fatalis armor set, I just can't commit that time to any other title and after playing outriders demo that's pretty much all I came to care about sure I will get gear to play the story but after that most likely I will delete outriders and either still be playing Monster hunter 100% of the time, or find another game with a story I'm interested in playing through.

  8. The game is focus group garbarge with 99% hype and 1% trashgame. Cutscenes, voices, gameplay, gunplay, pacing, enemys…It‘s so hollow and lifeless, everything what is wrong with gaming these days. Athem all over again. Back in the days, say 5 years ago, it would be a free2play game or a 29,99$ game. Now it’s just hype. And deep down you know i‘m right. Or you are a 14y/o who now‘s nothing about gaming.

  9. Trust me, no other game has put this much into their story. It's concise, draws its own conclusions, and the dialogue is actually pretty funny and interesting.
Ultimately, the only way to judge the story will be based on how the full campaign runs (which those other looter shooters either didn't do, or completely failed at), since the area we get in the demo is clearly a tutorial area of sorts. The end of the demo is literally leaving the area.
They definitely already fixed a few things, like motion blur.

  10. You didnt hear russian voice dub. A bloody trainwreck. Mismatched voices, unemotional VA, mistakes in translation. But what tilded me the most is that for some fucking reason "Altered" was translated as "Alium".
Translator just came up with this for no reason.
If someone were to ask me "you know what Alium is?" I would've answered "Is it some kind of alien alloy from Xcom or Mass effect?"
Oh and in the sidequest with injured soldier she says that "her squad was mutilated". Which somehow turned into "mutated" and then was voiced as that.
I know that this is just the demo but its not a reason for such incompetence.

With all said, the game looks promising. Sidequests were short and simple but I loved the effort they put in those little cutscenes. Was interesting to watch.

  11. This is why I believe it will fail because it's not a traditional looter shooter. This game will be better off to be just a regular single player game like ghost of tsushima.
The point of a looter shooter you kill enemies you collect loot you build up your character you level up your character just like games like Destiny games like Borderlands division. Warframe would fit that category but their system is a little different their progression is a little bit different. It's only called a looter shooter for Warframe because there are some enemies you kill that drop you loot such as Necromechs.
These are the outline reasons why I believe outriders will fail and maybe a month or 3 months from now it's going to get a reboot:
    –  you don't get loot from when you kill enemies.
-You have to speed run through content in order to get the most rewards possible from the activity.
-Not to mention sqaure said multiple times that there are multiple bugs that causes items to disappear from your inventory and they still haven't tried to address some of these issues in the latest update.
Most importantly square wants people to pay $60 for a game that they are not even confident will be successful. Like what they said last week on a Q&A, they will only add future content if they make enough money and if there is enough repeatable players playing the game.

I want the game to secede but honestly it's not with this kind of loot design. Even in the demo people get tired of grinding the same side quest to get loot over and over. Yet again in the final game they want people to follow the same design of something that people dislike in the demo.
Disclaimer I played over 100 hours of the demo I completed the demo of every content available for each character. So I'm not basing my opinion on playing a few hours I played a chunk load of the offer content
