Outriders is officially out, and while it’s having server issues right now that’s mainly because…so many people want to play. How does a totally new IP from a relatively unknown dev triple the debut Steam playercount of Crystal Dynamics and their Avengers? I have thoughts.

  2. I actually hated their pre-release marketing strategy of saying "all these other games are trash but ours is different and special"
    tell me about your game without sounding like a pretentious douche.

    post-release though i've seen their updates on the launch day stuff and they're being very straight up about it instead of giving PR garbage, which i do like. if they keep carrying themselves that way then that's awesome.

  3. Despite the servers, there are fundamental issues with the game. The plot is super cringy, the dialogues are bad, especially the AI, the enemy AI is so garbage. All boss fights are nothing more than bullet sponges. This has been a trend in looter shooter genre where one gets rewarded with guns and armor for playing like an idiot and killing bullet sponge bosses.

  4. This should not be the norm Paul. I can understand day one issues while servers stabilize and they bring more online to handle the traffic, but at day three this is not acceptable by any means.

  5. Game pass led to a massive hit… Great game. But let's address the elephant in the room. With game pass comes additional people whom would have probably not purchased outriders. I had already pre ordered outriders prior to the game pass announcement. I love this game fyi.

  6. Man can u imagine if they wouldn't have had major server issues. They did so much right leading up to launch only to have these server problems kinda overshadow it all.

  7. Love the game! Love the story as much as the gameplay. I played all classes on demo and stuck with Trickster to level 20 but decided to go back to trying Technomancer who originally was going to be my main, and man i should have went with my gut. Technomancer is a God Tier dps survival machine, at least with my unlimited ammo destroy everthing build. My favorite take away is this being a PvE only game you can literally go crazy with builds and weapons without pvp pussy nerfs. Dont care what yall say about that comment, its true.

  8. They really never went out side the wheel of the arpg , they kept it simple like first boarder lands, full, game let people have fun, like , pso and eq, and later diablo and wow, ff11 early on, not going for the spike, on the wheel like , fortnite or league legends ,

  9. I didn’t like the demo at first because the voice acting felt lazy and bad, the cutscenes were awful in terms of both audio synced visuals and the horrible clothing physics. However once I noticed the loot and abandoned the cover this game felt great. All loot felt somewhat meaningful. Even the blues were good

  10. I have had server problems on Series X, disconnected every hour or two, but, I still am hooked into the gameplay loop. Hoping the end of the story isn't "it was all a cryo dream" or some bullshit like that, or, I'm gonna feel like I've wasted all this time. 20 hours in since Friday.
