Wow, I can't believe u would betray DENSITY like this
i played demo for 15h and maxed 3 classes level , and doing this method for 10h but did not get a single purple or legendary item! something Wrong? be in party make increase drop chance ? cuz i was all alone during play!

My question is, when the first player has opened the bottom chests, can the player waiting at the top just tap their auto loot button and pick up the stuff from all the chests below? I know you said "even if you're miles away" but I just want to double check
Fallout. The captain farm on the last side mission terra infirma is the most efficient. Just kill and die to reset over and over. Ive gotten over 5 legendaries already and is the most optimal way

Ik it’s a demo but still the color and the way the world looks isn’t even close to how beautiful destiny can look sometimes
It’s much quicker to just grab the three closest chests and restart and repeat. You can easily run it twice much quicker than what you did and you’re still opening 6 chests

Those weapons are UGLY
I’m maxed out on all materials farming the captain and about 5hrs of farming just that and still zero legendary weapons
Got my first legendary from one of these crates! The Iceberg sniper. Pretty dope weapon. I chose Devastator so it doesn't really fit my play style, but it's still a lot of fun regardless.
I expect outriders to have the longevity of Avengers and Anthem.
Got to T4 yesterday, had 3 guns in my inventory. This morning, I log in and my inventory is gone. 3 guns gone. Not the 3 guns equipped, but extras in my inventory. Also, I had advanced 2 tiers – 3&4, before accepting the rewards you get for advancing. I claimed both 3 & 4 at the same time, but only received 1 reward. Not game breaking but when it's a loot based game, it's a problem. Especially losing my inventory. Had a nice sniper finally, but it's gone now.
Also…..developers……keep your politics to yourself!!!
I love how no one has footage of actually getting a legendary from any of these chests. I've been at this for 12 plus hours and I've got nothing to show for it either my luck is ass or the game hates me
Thanks for the tips! You can easily do this solo though, so you don’t really need to qualify it as a two man operation. Obviously it is slightly slower but after grabbing the first four chests you can teleport from Rift Passage back to Solar Tower, turn around and pick up the 5th chest, then take out the boss for the 6th.
TY for the 5 crate farm tip. I am only tier 3 solo and just got my 1st legendary from the inside crate before the Confront the Altered. An 297 Aerie Master pump gun dropped. your content as always, very informative, TY
After keeping track for the last 3 days. I have yet to see a legendary drop. I have done the 5 crate method 275x and no luck , I'm tired. Keep farming everyone..lol
FYI It's actually faster just to grab the 3 closest chests and return to lobby, repeating that process players can open 6-9 chests before you even load into the boss fight with you're longer method .Unfortunately doing it your way by the time you kill the boss you could already be on chest 18. Requires no combat and minimal distance. You could do it alone or with two if you want to change turns opening the tree chests.

All you have to do is auto change your time and the gear automatically resets for the vendors.

What’s the point of farming weapons and armor tho? Since full game is gonna be like lvl 30 and the weapons are max lvl 9 right now?

If you play solo the fastest way is this: Go inside the tower and loot the chest, then go back and loot the chest outside, then run downhill and loot the third chest. Go to menu and restart.
FYI, currency is capped at 25,000, materials at 1000, and titanium at 10.

did you get your legendary from the boss crate or from 5 crates near tower?
Do river top of hill inside then kill boss grab boss chest then fast travel to get first 2
dont think this is viable anymore. Pretty sure they tweeted that chest can't drop legendary anymore
Can u craft and how because it says u can in the guide but i tried looking it up and it says nothing
The auto loot will also loot for you if you die, which is super clutch
Just a heads up. As of moment you are reading this message this method is no longer viable because chests no longer drop legendary items in the DEMO. (recent update)
PS: Vendors also no longer sell purple gear.
