So, the new big looter shooter, Outriders, recently released a free demo for anyone to try out. I’ve been looking for a replacement for Destiny 2 for a couple years now, to no luck. So, while this title definitely doesn’t represent my opinion, there’s hope that this could be a great game. Not a lot, but Square Enix could pull this off.

Just suffered through 20 minutes of the demo, before quitting out of a mixture of boredom and disgust. It's everything I hate about modern gaming. Terrible cut scenes everywhere, lackluster combat, ugly character models, buggy lip synch, and a ludicrous story. It reminded me of Mass Effect: Andromeda, and that's not a good thing.
Destiny is fucking boring it’s got good gun play that’s about it even the abilities are somewhat boring good morning Destry I actually enjoyed was gambit popping through and going and trying to kill somebody on the other team to slow down the progression or heard it all the actual PV arena PVP was OK to but other Nat destiny got kind of boring it’s just too fucking easy
Dude they are in this game is actually pretty good if you are behind cover or you step back out the door or whatever in the AI knows where you’re at and then come after you petroglyphs they they try to flank you home sometimes went when you are advanced a fire fun with your fire so I’ll get a shot in the back by somebody I that’s why ground behind you yeah it’s pretty fucking good
OK Genius whatwould you do differently for the rarity of gear
Dude your most assuredly can feel the recoil on almost all these guns at least the ones that I have no you no more vicious recoil so I’m not sure exactly what you’re talking about or whether or not you even experience multiple guns but almost every gone except for out call a couple of the handguns in now some of the shotguns I’m in there recall but they step back to rob center on their own between shots the pump but mostly guns have vicious recall going in one direction or another or both
Yeah there’s no trans mark so your character is gonna look like a hobo and towel are you can actually make their arm or you want with crafting abilities
OK so as much as I think you’re clueless of almost thought you said you’re right they could’ve actually would trenches because what we are fighting is a 30 year war yeah I guess the exile that you think that instead of building walls all over we will have actual trenches so you’re right about that that’s may be a missed opportunity to be more immersive
Again it’s not meant to be a cover of a shooter so making you climb out of the trash when you wanna run out and get in their face might be problematic for you getting your ass shut off while you’re climbing out
This game is not being made by Square Enix kid it’s Graniks is just a publisher the Marker in State TERA making the game and this is not a service game so the content it has at lodge and it’s gonna take you all the way through the story can you get the expectations and their expectations are going to be the real repeatable content
If you play the demo and your tester out all four classes and you had fun with the shooting and the movement and the abilities then yeah she shared by all means proud of the game because white releases in 30 days it’s just gonna be more of this it’s going to be an extension of what you’ve already experienced it can get it’s only gonna get better going to get more gear more levels more world tears you’re going to get more areas to explore all night to watch explore of a fight your way through yes by all means you should pre-order from the fact that there’s only one hide you on then she can pre-order the full game with a pre-order bonus package is refresh
More important if you like looters shooters and you I enjoyed say Rembrandt damaged by all means pre-order this game we will have a blast at it
You are definitely going to be proven wrong this is definitely going to be our of on parallel day one success the game runs smooth it’s fun to play it has you know an average story for a shooter and it’s pretty much bug free I mean unless you have a shit PC but I’m consoles it’s pretty well bug free and it’s very well designed for consolesSo this game is going toBe really well received
And by the way you have no clue how to review something that was the shittiest review of the demo I’ve heard yet and I’ve listen to almost everybody who is reviewed it if you’re going to review a game you have to play it for at least 1520 hrs. experience I am at least experienced many of the classes you played one class and determined because you couldn’t survive that it’s a shit game fuck I’m telling you I’ve played all the classes all the way through level seven world tier 5 twice and two of the classes are very good in your face characters one of them is a more a harm controlled mid range character and one of them is like a sniper support guy that you really don’t see the power of him because you don’t get the abilities until later in the game
Is people even hyped for this game🤷♂️. I swear there is barely any good games coming out in 2021. Also holy shit those animations looks like something from 10 years ago WTF and cover based shooting is dead. It died years ago
This game isn't based around cover though. You can use it but it's not really the best way to play
Synthetic man the LEGEND !!! Most slept on gaming YT’er out.
My god freestiny is trash freestiny 1.5.1 got away with it but no other games could sad
Didn't care for the game before the review and don't care after watching it. I just like listening to you talking about videgames.
Look, we should know by now that games as a service are nothing more then a scam.
Amazing! Fun and addictive is all i need in a game!
You can bring up Dark Souls as much as you want, I'll never get tired of it.
Also I am pumped at the prospect of an Elden Ring trailer or gameplay this month.
i know i'm preaching to the choir here, but it's so hard not to be cynical about games when stuff like this just keep cropping up. another day another one of "these" kinds of games that just lack any identity, if i just looked at the gameplay and cutscenes and didn't have the context that this was a new game i wouldn't have thought it was. i can't pinpoint what it is about it really, but i just feel like i've already seen this same game come out 100 times already. the market is just so oversaturated with these games that look exactly like this, and i don't even think this kind of "look" or these themes are even particularly popular or anything, it's just proven to be mildly successful in the past so they keep making them
Not a good game nor bad game. Just a place holder until new content drops in your primary game. And for $60 not worth it at this time unless end-game is something special and the fix a lot of issues.

I don’t understand why you keep saying it’s a cover base when it’s really not. I literally never used cover once while I was playing.
This game has the same issue division had for me, where despite knowing I shouldn't be one shotting bosses with a sniper, on an instinctual level it feels so wrong to shoot a modern human in the head with a sniper rifle and not kill them. I can suspend my disbelief for a fantasy or scifi setting, but I just can't for a game with this sort of timeline and enemy mob. The game also oozes with "inspired" concepts and nothing about it stands out or feels unique.
GEARs was pretty basic, to begin with, but the same goes like with the Outriders it had a decent story so that was a step up.
Looks like gears of war but even more brown
Watching reviews from smaller youtubers is always better than those with hundreds of thousands of subs.
Good review mate.
To me the game felt a bit dated, like a remaster of a game from 2006-2010. I only played solo as the pyromancer, but at some points it felt like I was meant to have friends with me even if the game has difficulty scaling. The first side quest boss turned out to be quite a difficulty spike until I started playing a lot more aggressively whereas in most other situations I could just use abilities and pop heads from behind cover. I don't mind the occasional challenges, but I felt like it was done a lot better in Remnant: From the ashes than in Outriders.
The quest design that encouraged me to immediately have another go at a side quest I just finished 'for a chance to get different, better loot' turned out to be really immersion breaking for me. Repeatable content is nice, but it could've been presented in a better way. The fire abilities felt quite powerful and satisfying though, and the effects looked nice.
The story didn't strike me as particularly bad (yet), but the premise wasn't that original of course. I too definitely cared more for the characters in this than the wooden dolls in Destiny 2 though. It also struck me in the intro that noone was acting like an a-hole which felt strangely refreshing. But please, scrap the shooting range tutorial, just write an easy first battle into the story where I can get a grip of the basics while still feeling like I'm progressing. Every game may be someone's first, I guess, but having to shoot holograms like I've never played a shooter before is old, to say the least.
I wasn't a fan of the level design, all these open areas with waist-high walls just doesn't make for believable set pieces.
Mostly, playing Outriders just made me feel like I was playing a game, because it constantly reminded me that that's what it is through level design, quest design and systems. I generally prefer games that make me forget they're games. To me, Outriders is not one of those, which felt a bit contradictory considering all the frequent cutscenes, lore pieces and the storytelling that seem to want to suggest otherwise. That old 3rd person shooter 'The Club', a somewhat forgettable game I didn't think I remembered, suddenly sprung into my mind while playing.
I think that for me, what little I experienced here was the most 6/10 of all the 6/10 games I ever played, if that makes any sense…
Unexpected but very welcome video
Cuz I saw this and thought maybe this would be Witcher 3 in space but good to know you're take on it
played demo as a technomancer.. HUGE mistake xD not a fun solo class
Hey dude, play with runelite for osrs adds loads of great plugins and tweaks, 75% of the playerbase use it.
Max Payne 3 was cover based(kinda) and was crazy fun
It seems aight but just that. Aight.
On the whole "lore abuse" thing, I blame reddit's obssesion with "lore". No, chucklefucks, a game having a bible's worth of backstory doesn't make it good if the main narrative is shit, the characters are bland and all that bloated text to explain the world doesn't impact the main story at all.
it looks good but it's not really that good
Am a dev, previously asked you for your knowledge. Lol
This dude is the most negative and sarcastic reviewer ive ever seen💀. U should review generation zero since imo its an underdog
Such a hater….I think your opinion will change over time….I lost interest in destiny 2 after the launch of the forge…..
i disagree with that "change the rarity colors" bit, because its been in use so long it's what players expect. and what i mean by that is, say, blue/green is what players expect the friendly team to be, and red is what players expect the enemy team to be etc
it's made that way to quickly communicate to the player important information
Synthetic how'd you feel about the recent Sony game announcements?
