Someone with 0 braincells left must’ve posted this somewhere where Outriders Stans hangout bc I’ve seen the dislikes spike exponentially today, obviously they aren’t watching the video, or have the game confused with something else, because if you’ve played it you’d have to be insane to think it’s good in any way. Keep the dislikes coming, doesn’t change that the game is dead on arrival and absolute trash.

Funny you mentioned Division 2 cuz the other day after I wiped repeatedly on an Outriders mission, I fired up TD2 and was struck by how much better TD2 is. I've heard some reviewers claim "cover is for the enemies" but that's no excuse for how janky the cover-to-cover and move-to-cover mechanics are. More than any of the issues brought up here, the crudeness of the traversal mechanics makes certain levels a frustrating barrage of nutpunches. Toss in other bits of BS like the cheapest snipers I've ever seen (instant hits that knock you out of cover by something like 3 paces), a field of view as narrow as a urethra that makes the AOE markers almost impossible to see unless you're completely alone in open level ground and leads to numerous cases of enemies seeming to come out of nowhere with literally half second notice, mantling/vaulting mechanics with a mind of its own, and most galling, garbage loot if you're not at the max available world tier (a few times I lowered the world tier by 1 to get past a tough area and left with maybe 1 or 2 weapons/gear picks ups that was remotely close to what I was already carrying).

Maybe because I got it free on GamePass but this game is really good. Maybe you didn’t play far enough. The prologue is slow but once you get past it and get your abilities the game picks up, it’s not a cover shooter. It’s more of a run and gun with a lot of melee. It’s definitely better than Avengers and has an actual end game lol.
I love the Division 2. Outriders doesn't feel anything like the Division in any way.
To sum it up for me, everything about Outriders feels off in some way.
The full release is also garbage. The most linear, uninspired environments. Atrocious gunplay from bullet soak/sponge to horrible audio and shots not registering. No jump and horrible vault/cover execution so you get stuck on EVERYTHING. The worst AI in modern shooter history. All enemies just have aimbot and the healing mechanics are ridiculously bad. Balance is bad, story is meh, endgame is awful especially for the solo player as there is no checkpoints or rez for solo players. Immersion? Forget it. All areas are "Reach Area X, Spawn Enemy Y at Location Z" or "Enemy X Reaches Y Health, Spawn Enemy Z at Location A". Everything is trigger based like this. You will see your character do things in almost every cutscene that you cant do in actual gameplay. You know, like jumping.
The reason you're getting a mix of downvotes and upvotes is because some people actual like this zerg rush, button mashing gameplay but the developers banked on a lot more people liking this than actually do. Steam reviews are also mixed. If you like any depth in a game, immersion, or balance, this game will literally be the worst 3rd person shooter you've ever played. The only redeemable quality the game has is the crafting system.

7 minutes in the video and you still not talking about why it sucks. cutscenes are absolutely fine when it is story based. you compare it with division which is extremely dumb. you wasted my time

Uninstalled after two days, thankfully it was on gamepass and I didn’t pay full price for it. I got through the prologue, and started a couple of missions and I wasn’t feeling it at all
One of the worst games I’ve ever played. Constant crashes, frame drops, bad matchmaking, eternal loading screens and sometimes I see large boxes on the screen that say Nan at the bottom. Then there is the gameplay, I grinded so much to get the best possible gear so I can do expeditions, so I reached world tier 14 and t9 expeditions with groups and with all that work all I can do is t1 expedition solo. I believe there is something wrong with the scaling in this game. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this game. I don’t believe they worked 6 years on this game.
Fun Fact: Doom Eternal was made in 2 years by less than 50 people

I seriously want ANYONE to give me ONE reason why its good? In all honesty. This is by far the worst game i have paid for. Remnant was EONS above this game for 40$ voice acting, story, gameplay, repeatability.. EONS!!!!!!
The fanboy syndrome is really strong with a big junk of this game's player base. I have no idea why anyone would defend multiple nerfs from a tone deaf balance team while thousands of players have had their inventory wiped for weeks. I can't imagine why someone would give this game a 5-star review when there's absolutely no way they're able to even consistently connect to the game in its current state, and I'm incapable of understanding how someone could see the complete lack of response from developers with all of these technical issues and still support this game.

I still play this because the sheer amount of killing is satisfying. However it is complete crap for the price and how much and often the damn thing crashes. There's still terrible bugs and terrible designs. But I am a total loot whore so I just keep trying to get more LOOT!
SE is a triple A publisher and yet this game is miles away from being even mediocre, it’s actually just awful. I tried it on gsmepass and series x, and even though there was no cost, I want my handful of hours back. I wouldn’t buy this even with money to burn.
And you are right, the almost hour long initial exposition dump was excruciating. With an illusion of choice. Honestly this is much worse than most F2P games I’ve tried. And the UI with the yellow star was just so hamfisted.

what is so bad about the voice acting? i mean ok when he said "postpone the f***ing landing" it sounded pretty bad but other than that it was quite alright?
i finished the whole story yesterday but i dont see a issue with the voice acting really, sounds like any game to me
overall i enjoy the game and its definitely much better than at launch but i agree, its still pretty bad, especially the writing (not really cringe or edgy though, just bad)

I think they spent more on paying streams to say it's good than actual dev. I made it to the point where you pick your class and had enough. It runs janky as hell. The gun play is not enjoyable and there are cut scenes every few seconds, everyone needs a long load time. Load a cutscene, walk a few feet load into another. And they are terrible. It is such an awful cookie cutter story. It honestly feels like a joke. Like some people got in a room and set out to make a terrible game with as much cliche garbage as they can cram in.
I've played worse games but at the end of the day I got it on gamepass so free is free. I wouldn't be very happy with it if I had payed for it.

i enjoy the gameplay in the game i dont care about the story though
