Outriders has released its first major expansion with new story content and the Trials of Tarya Gratar endgame activity. While it’s the most stuff put into the game at launch, is it worth the $40 asking price? Here’s what I make of it so far.

I wish there were a first person mode!
$40 price point as an entry for someone who's never gotten the base game even, does that then make it worth the price?
I see, they still havent figured out how to make dead bodies not block your shots facepalm
So it's digi-struct peak from Borderlands 2?
maybe 20 dollar I'll consider it after that's release day outcrashers new expansion is not worth 40
Bought it on game pass last night. Played through story and loved it the ending was crazy I want there to be outriders 2. Cant wait for more tonight.
Yea 40 in the US everywhere else its the price of a full game so no wait for a sale
The game is VERY fun to play and definitely worth it once you get off the hate train and let it pass.
I don't even have to pretend that this is a cool animated intro anymore. It's grown on me so much over time, I've convinced myself it's an AMAZING intro.
Outriders is dead.
I actually liked the campaign. It was short and sweet. I hated the base games campaign. And I'm enjoying the trials.
It was 36$ for me on psn
I don’t upgrade, I make builds out of drops as I go
$40, no. $20, yes. Add in playing offline mode when solo, greatly increased interest.
(At 40, my first purchase would be WH 40k Darktide.)
Have barely touched this game since beta. The delayed PC game pass release killed it.
The P2P matchmaking and load screens in this game ruin the game. Also the lack of a true replayable activity hurts it a lot.
Thank-you for this. I already watched another review and was leaning towards not getting this and this helped cement my decision. $40 for a lackluster story, a skill tree, and an endgame tower does seem extremely steep. Endgame content shouldn't be behind a paywall either. I'm gonna wait for a price drop or sale because I do enjoy Outriders but this is to much for the content they're offering.
Yes it's worth it for sure good content and a great grind isn't that what we all want lol
Copying D2, not this D2 the other D2.
the price is for a full size game in my country, definitely not worth as of now, I'll wait for a sale or something
I'll wait for it to drop in price in a few weeks lol
I offer 20$… Still buggie…
Honestly? I think it's worth 40 bucks just because this content isn't going to be outmoded in like 3 months or just dissappear. Its not a live service, so it's something one can just enjoy at one's own pace, which is something I greatly miss.
So I have to pay 40 dollars for a game I already paid for?
I'll wait till the price goes way down.
Sorry my bro this game is for people that love the game, you will see when you get your set of armor bro I’m loving this game and yes the 40 dollar is worth so I feel sorry for you my brother
It’s a quick single player game in a nut shell, if it was free or half its or price maybe then it would make sense.
Based on your video and SkillUp's review, it doesn't seem like good value for money. Whilst the loot is great, the build crafting has huge possibilities, and the paragon system is a brilliant reason to keep playing, it seems like the story is short and the core gameplay is still very unfriendly to solo players. Being under constant fire or rushed by enemies, whilst always on the verge of death is not a lot of fun and can be a very stressful experience. It sounds like PCF have doubled down on it being a multiplayer game but still don't have the in-game infrastructure to support that, or the player base to make matchmaking feel seamless. The lack of shared progression at account level is another turn off, for all the inspiration it takes from Diablo III, Outriders still seems to ignore so many of the lessons learned during its lifetime.
Outriders is a way more fun/better looter than Destiny! The Legos are way more creative/ better than Destiny's exotics. Bungie needs to get way more creative with their stuff imo.
