  2. What kind of play testers are they giving these ideas?

    Whomever the developers are need to fire those play testers immediately.

    This is such a good game but these loading screens will literally kill this game.

    Love your videos by the way. I actually really appreciate you addressing these loading screens because they are very, very bad. We had games doing this 10+ years ago. That's beyond bad lol

  3. its getting bits of information like this that will keep this game afloat. gamers dont like to be left in the dark when it comes to choices that were made in the games design and transparency like this brings trust. graphics and story plot aside if the game play is fun and the devs are honest people will play the game and want more.

  4. No wonder the performance is crap when you matchmake. No dedicated servers. 🙁

    I hope to god that the live game will be better when matchmaking.

    FWIW people are disoriented when matchmaking or in group when matchmaking because there is no structure in the mission/quests when matchmaking.

    In other words when you matchmake "atleast on the demo" you are just matchmaking "finding another group" rather then say you want to matchmake for a specific mission/quest like division does it. So it just puts you into a rando group.

    I tried to matchmake recent on the demo today Mar 2,2021 and both times it matched me as a lvl7 with someone as a lvl1 in WT1 and lvl3 in WT2 still doing the opening mission right before rift town.

    Im sure this will only be a problem early on. But still. While i do enjoy outriders and will play it, it really does seem like alot of low effort has been put into this game.

  5. I have no problems with these cutscenes. The only problem I have is in the accolades. one of them requires you to revive 250 allies. I plan to do the majority of this game solo so that particular accolade is not available for someone like me and they said everything in this game will be able to be done solo. So why should I miss out on a emote because I want to play solo.

  6. By far the worse excuse I ever heard. This is just bad and IMO lazy development. The load screens need to go away. The gaming technology we have today help you avoid that.

So, by the sounds of it they chose to implement a massive and permanent mechanic change that will be forced on you throughout your entire playthrough whether you are solo or not, and only to appease what I can only imagine was a small amount of people having a temporary issue. I can't imagine everyone in a party getting that confused every time you teleported. Further, I find it really hard to understand that a game company as large as Square Enix releasing a full priced game ( this is being released at AAA prices ), yet they don't give it the AAA treatment to have dedicated servers?! A little odd when one of the main selling points of the game is its multiplayer/co-op aspects.

    While I really have enjoyed my time so far in the game and will continue to play, this is really concerning. Also, while they have provided an explanation, the majority of a games playerbase does not understand the technology behind nor do they care. As you have said, people will be thinking of other similar games they have played and likely may turn away a certain number of people. Doesn't really make sense from a business perspective.
