It's a good start looking forward to the DLC

Expedition timer is what made my friends and I quit. So happy to see it removed. Re-downloading the game RN.

I left Outriders after finishing the campaign, because the endgame timed expedicitons were just so bad… Well time to get back I guess.
No more timers is fucking huge.
The timer wasn't an issue for me. It was the bugs & drop rate of certain guns I was grinding for.
Also quit because my techno got the d from nerfs and the damn timers. Going to love coming back and with steam deck coming can't wait.

Well, Halo just got the confirmation of today release so.. I guess I´ll check Outriders sometime later.
I feel like this is too little too late, if this was 2 months after launch I might go back but I have absolutely no will to go back
I guess the non-live service is regarding fomo content and microtransactions, neither of which are in. I wish Destiny was like that too. Pay once a year, get the full deal. Instead of being nickel and dimed so much. Continuous patching and fixing things is good. Seems like this is the "definitive edition" and might be a good time to give it a try for gamepass people or to grab it on sale otherwise. Just depends on the player count and/or having friends willing to give it a try

Huh, wasn't one of the things Outriders said it wouldn't do would be having expansions or anything? That the whole entirety of the game would be available from day one? Aside from the stuff that would be time gated?

Well, guess it shouldn't be a surprise that they go back on that. It really was a silly promise. Wouldn't surprise for their to be paid expansions and what have you in the future.

This is really reminding me of Diablo III – in a good way. It's trite to say some games launch in poor states these days.
But the developers that stick with it and refine, and update the games may indeed earn some customer loyalty back. I hope PCF is in that category now.

I started this video thinking it was about Forza Horizon 5 and became immediately and intensely confused.
Steam has this on midweek madness as well! Good time to jump in. Played the demo and enjoyed it well enough, but not enough to pay full price lol.
Expedition timers were the biggest reason i quit playing, since i like to play solo and dont care about min maxing every piece of gear for dps. Deffinetly gonna give this update a shot.
The Transmog system is way better than the destiny one.

I love this game so much but I think the only thing holding this game back from really giving destiny a run for its money is the same problem all the other games like anthem and borederlands have and that’s that it needs an end game activity comparable to destiny’s raids all they have right now is basically strikes, lol if that happens bungie might actually get nervous

Damn, Paul, you really triggered Destiny players hard saying Outriders' transmog is better than Destiny. Ya love to see it. 😀 If Destiny needs to be kicked in the nuts to actually do what it's supposed to do, then kick away.
I watched the broadcast earlier, my takeaways are mostly like yours…very healthy changes, not a ton NEW, but…glad to see the game basically "finished," and the complete package taking player feedback into account. The woman on the broadcast even said New Horizons was meant to be a nod to it being kind of a second go, soft-reset kinda feel, without actually resetting anything. Think I'll reinstall to check it out a bit, couldn't hurt.
the only feature i miss is no cross save, so i can play on pc or console. otherwise its a pretty nice game.

as someone who played outriders and quit playing after the first month or two because of the timers and the huge nerfs so soon after release, this up-coming update made me download the game to give it another shot.
Not gonna lie, the removal of the timers alone is gonna be enough for me to come back lol, I've been stuck on t14 forever because of the stupid timer and difficulty

No timers thank god. Got tired of running a blighted rounds build just to be able to do endgame
if it was Destiny 2 update, we had to pay for transmog per item and 30$ to access new missions…

Seems like this update (and the promotional video listing the previous recent updates) is for those big crowd who gave up on the game early due to issues. Like you said it's not really significant enough for the fans who have been putting up with the game until now.
