Outriders New Horizon Update – My Trickster Tank Build Became Insane! (Read Description)

Before you note it this build needs more tweaks as a result of my changes post update, but basically you’ll see I’m missing two more skill leech boosts on my armor I am now looking to get and finish my armor variants so they’re all the same. Now to the build:

So my tank trickster build is even more insane!

I don’t understand why the devs decided to radically buff Disruption Shield (final node in the middle tree) but they did…from 20% more shield every deception activation too…50%!!?

Now don’t get me wrong. I love it and thought 20% was a bit too low when borrowed time with such a short cooldown already gives all tricksters 50%. However my middle tree build utilizing it was already invincible in all expeditions. In my view it should just been 30 maybe even 25% and if they listen and nerf it down a bit I wouldn’t care even as someone using this build.

But they made it 50%…and I can only think they did realizing zero players were attempting middle tree trickster builds.

But let me tell you those players were wrong BEFORE to misjudge those builds (just see my previous videos soloing gold ranks on half the expeditions still while being an invincible middle tree trickster) and now they’re really wrong! Because not only have the time limits been removed they improved the tank trickster’s tankiness and even my dps some too!

Now how did they improve my dps? They actually initially nerfed it some by increasing Borrowed Time’s cooldown. Mine used to be 3.3 seconds now you see it’s 4.1 meaning less aggressive teleportation damage. However precisely because they buffed disruption shield I realized this build would be better returning to Venator’s Knife over Time Rift. Now I receive the double damage from that skill (twice sometimes thanks to Boomerang mod) for both my Aggressive Teleportation and Scrap Grenade damage. Recall this build has literally nothing invested in firepower or anomaly power so doing damage on it requires certain innovation and stacking key skill nodes and abilities.

Now I tested it and I can still solo Frontline in 10:30 minutes which would be gold rank with over a minute to spare previously.

But now I’m even tankier using knife too! That is because it activates my skill leech healing (the only reason I get the increased damage mod for it). I also for that reason decided to stick sandstorm (which was buffed) on my weapon leech, skill leech pistols that way I’m also still doing good damage whenever I think I need to switch to my weapon leech gun for survivability if my shield is repeatedly breached.

But my shield is never breached….literally….or almost. I can sometimes run through Eye of the Storm taking NO DAMAGE! And that’s leaving the anomaly rifts alive…

Also as a result of this change I realized I could stick the Aeos mod on Borrowed Time as you see so now I effectively have max armor the entire expedition too.

And finally…to make this build even more insane…the very fact Eye of the Storm has become the best expedition now is great because this build can also destroy anomaly rifts for days! If I want too…as you see I don’t even need too but in a group it might make me better support still.

Anomaly rifts only take serious damage from raw gun damage (why firepower builds can always neutralize their threat easily) and very specific anomaly damage I notice only comes from certain mods on guns and armor that cause anomaly damage INDIRECTLY from your guns and skills. That’s why the Pyro’s faser beam does nothing to rifts whereas their eruption’s AoE damage will destroy them instantly.

Similarly all 3 of my main sources of damage on this build (aggressive teleportation, scrap grenade, clip combustion) do massive damage to anomaly rifts.

And then as the icing on the cake this build is clearly good on the crowd control damage front still which is why you’ll note I just ignored the Reavers, concentrated on Yaagak, and everybody still dies indirectly in the end lol…

I’m telling you the tank trickster build is now tankier than my dev builds and with its dps potential still it has become ONE OF THE BEST EYE OF THE STORM SOLO BUILDS EVER!
