Outriders is a third-person shooter mixed with elements from role-playing games. In the beginning of the game, players create their custom characters and choose from four classes, each of them has unique abilities that the players can utilize. The four classes include the Trickster, which has the ability to manipulate time, the Pyromancer, which can manipulate fire, the Devastator, which can unleash seismic attacks, and the Technomancer, which uses turrets and other devices. These special skills have a short cooldown time and can be combined with other skills for maximum effects. The game features a skill tree that allows players to unlock and upgrade their skills.

Players can use different weapons such as shotguns and assault rifles to defeat enemies, and firearms can be customized with weapon mods. Players can hide behind cover to shield themselves from enemy attacks, though health will only regenerate if the player manages to hurt or kill enemies. Players combat both monsters and human enemies. As the player progresses, the world level (the game’s equivalent to gameplay difficulty) will increase. If the world level is high, it is more likely for the player to get high-end loot from defeated enemies.

The game incorporates various role-playing elements. As the players explore, they can explore different hub areas, talk to non-playable characters and complete side missions. In cutscenes a dialogue tree allows to decide the outcome of some conversations, though it does not affect the story’s progression. The game can be played solo, but players can also complete the game together with two other players.

  1. Great game really was enjoying it up till now they absolutely destroyed my build with the nerf so I’m going back to the division 2 until this is fixed devs if you read this you just pissed off 99% of your player base in a week that’s got to be some type of record well done 👍

  2. All ppl use the same 3 skills ( just like you on your footage ) I don't like them – I want to use minigun or something else but its to slow and useless in endgame, 99% of ppl use upper skill tree not because it's fun to play just because it's ONLY OPTION

  3. I didn't even know about expeditions till this came up! From someone who played The Division 1 & 2 and having to rebuild my builds every few weeks as the Devs nerf everything that goes meta, was very frustrating. The people blowing through the game are ruining them.

  4. Yeah no the nerfs are a horrible idea, me and my mate are pushing hours and hours a day and we're both technomancers and atm pushing up to t15 is next to impossible we actually had to scale all the way down to t11-t13 and still struggle even with full 49 gear with some legendaries. We just can't put out viable damage to compensate for how squishy we are along with the reduced times..

  5. What did guys expect? This is an always online game. They are going to dictate and control everything you do. And you can only play the game the way THEY want you to play it.
You farmed too many legendaries a bit too fast? NERF
Your build is stronger than they'd like? Nerf
That weapon a bit too strong? NERF

Yeah I'm not touching this game with a 10 mile long stick

  6. Why gives a level 48 gear and a weapon 1k base damage ? And another example the stormwhip mod does 67k extra damage that is what displayd on the mod ..butt ingame it does 5k ? On WT15!

  7. Outrage that's a bit hyperbolic.

Do you actually realise this balancing/nerf patch was already to go before the release of the game, if you look at what the Devs said, they actually said that they have a follow up patch ready and waiting once the first patch (Day 1 is installed), they knew the bullet builds were op straight off the bat, but the Endgame results and the times and ease of proved it.

Also if you read their tweet carefully they said this balancing patch is not final and may change,
My bet is Buffs are coming soon.

PS:And anyway what build diversity was there? yeah just 2 builds all using bullet damage the quickest and easiest way to do expeditions so something had to change. with one class actually being dumped on (which is bad)
I personally blame in part the Endgame itself a timed set up where the only way to do it efficiently is with Bullet builds, that pushed people into the op meta straight off the bat.

  8. Yes im pissed my build is now trash but… i think this is a good thing as having the game being able to grant a god build so easy and smash through the end game in just a week says it all really, this was needed although i feel like Dev should have a buff soon as, i've heard just bad things for that class.

  9. To top it off they added a game breaking bug that messes up your item stats reducing the damage you do along with the damage you mitigate. I think this was here at launch and is why enemies do substantial damage even if you are at the same level. I knew it would be a problem when PCF told us about the scaling system when in co op smdh.

  10. Shout to all the devastators who reached CT15 solo and hit GOLD. Truly the hardest class in the game. YOu don't any handicap ability like special ammo that can carry an average player to CT15 easily. So I salute you. RESPECT

  11. Borderlands 3 did all those nerfs straight away as well…. And it made me not want to play it any longer… The constant nerf/buffs were annoying and made me want to play the game less and less… Now I don't bother w it at all.

  12. IMO I think it would’ve been better to bring all classes to trickster level and buff the underperforming skill trees. I will admit techno is a bit much, even after the nerf I see easy 1mil crits with the burst AR, I thought trickster had a good balance of being strong and powerful but also still have a challenge. Who knows maybe they will revert the nerfs 🤷‍♂️

  13. The technomancer nerf is fine since he has literally so much sinergy with mods based in poison with is is pretty strong. U can hold poison bullets for so fucking long … the cooldown hardly matters…
on trickster on the other hand its much harder since u have to build for other sinergy because u have no Status urself ! People need to think of that. U literally waste 2 mods because u need bleed/poison etc to even hold ur magazine up. I dont like the bullet build as trickster because u are focused on one ability alone wich makes it boring.

Having only one build on top is boring as well. The problem is that the other builds are not able to compete.
This game is supposed to be hard. Pls dont make it a babyparty …

  14. Happy to see, that they try to give the devastator its place. You get kicked, because you are a dev and because of the damage. Now they reduced the denunciation of the class.

  15. They need to do something like destiny, put in dungeons, have events, have quest lines that give you a certain legendary at the end. I did the main campaign did a couple of expeditions and didn’t see the point.

  16. I tried a twisted bullet round build. I'm stuck at expedition 11 lol, i keep dying, so good to know that the only thing that was dealing damage in my build, gets nerfed yeahhhh

  17. They also killed the Massacre mod for Tool of Destruction's minigun, reducing the AP power increase duration from 10 sec or 3 sec, which makes it very hard to use against anything except beasts, which is what it was best against anyway. Fucking sucks now, they should've just added a cap on the buff if they wanted to nerf it.

  18. They’re ruining their own Game and when People treat this like Avengers They’ll Regret nerfing the builds people Make. They need to fix The bugs they knew were in the Game at Launch. A.K.A the Inventory Wipe out Bug 🐜 🙃🤔😩
