  1. I actually played divison 2, Borderlands 3 and destiny 2 and its all not good anymore. I mainly play destiny 2 but it has gotten so bad and not enjoyable that i mostly play nothing anymore.

  2. I fully agree with branching out and trying new games. I've played music my whole life and when I took drums lessons as a kid, I was told there was no such thing as "the best" drum heads or sticks. You just have to try out everything and keep an open mind. Over the last few years, I've lost some good gamer buddies because everyone gets stuck within the "That's my game" mindset. We as gamers have to allow new IPs and ideas to flourish otherwise it's just going to be another monopoly deprived of original ideas.

  3. I get what your saying about brand loyalty. I stay on Division 2 right now but its more about the "realism" of the eviroment. It has a more grounded feel and its why I always end up back on it. Outriders systems and build diversity has my interests peaked alot tho.

  4. One thing comes to mind with talking of healthy competetion, yea say that to the destiny community any time you say something that goes against someones narrow thoughts you get attacked and they try to ridicule aswell. Destiny community is super toxic even when you phrase yourself well, and frankley do so in a intelligent way it is too much for their brains and they have a melt down and try to misrepresent what you said. They will do whatever they can to keep their image of destiny being the perfect game, and yes i know anthem failed however the game didnt even get a chance large portions of the destiny community were hating the game before it was out and went to forums everywhere to make sure they spread their garbage cause if anthem succeded it would have been a threat to destiny. Frankley ive seen the same with outriders however not to the same scale as with anthem, i can say i honestly hate the destiny community and i am glad that i quit that horrible game.

  5. One of the reasons people become loyal is something called Sunk Cost. The number of hours dedicated to a game and amount of total money spent on it automatically makes people more loyal to it. I have a ton of hours in Destiny 2, not as many as some, and it is hard to look at other looter shooters because I own everything for Destiny 2. Even pre-bought the upcoming seasons, but I am not having fun with Stasis at all and it has made me not want to play. Doesn't matter to bungie though because I already spent the money… But that sunk cost is real and greatly affects loyalty to games.

  6. I'm a huge Warframe player, and I'm loyal to it because I genuinely feel, for a myriad of reasons, that it does what it does as a looter better than most other looter games in the genre. That said, loyalty is a big problem for a lot of people.

I really wish more people would stop pandering to AAA looters that almost reliably drop the ball, and come over to give Warframe a shot because it has a lot to offer, however despite that…I would much rather unhappy Warframe players drop Warframe and play a game they believe in more than just stick with "their brand" out of loyalty. If a person isn't happy with the game they're playing, they make their voice heard and they feel they aren't being listened to by the devs, then the only other option is to seek greener pastures. And when it comes to a genre like "looters," which have a ton of repetition baked in, we ALL need variety in our gaming diets so the endless looting and collecting for the sake of looting and collecting doesn't get too tired.

I say this all the time…but it really hurts hanging out in Destiny comment threads and seeing Guardians beg Bungie for features that Warframe has had for years. But no matter how many Guardians I communicate with, they don't even bat an eye in DE's direction because of brand loyalty or misinformation or whatever else. They're too afraid to dive into something new because they feel comfortable and safe where they're at. On the other side of the coin…plenty of Warframe players are mad because they want high level challenges like raids, which Warframe currently doesn't have, they feel the devs aren't listening to the players on that issue, but they ALSO stay where they are, likely for that same loyalty.

Loyalty for the sake of loyalty is what's really dangerous and hurts the industry, that's for sure. We all want to see our brand or our team do well, but NOT wanting other games to do things well to push our preferred team to do better also sets a really bad precedent.

  7. 100% Agree. I played most looter shooters: Destiny 2, The Division 2, Warframe, Borderlands 3, Anthem. Actually I love Anthem the best (including it issues). But, I really looking forward to Outriders. I beleive Outriders seems to be doing a looter shooter the right way, Cheers
