News Update Highlights:
There was some understandable consternation regarding the intended changes, so we wanted to confirm and reiterate the following:

Fortress Changes Clarification:

Fortress will not be changed in isolation. The changes will be implemented as part of a much bigger update across Outriders which will include a slew of other buffs to Legendary Armour sets, other Mods and the Class Trees. This bigger update, which is still a little way away, is also planned to make significant improvements to other aspects of Outriders and will bring Stadia in line with all other platforms.

Set Changes:

Devastator
Marshal

The set bonus of the Marshal set will have its shared bonus derived from Anomaly Damage increased to 40% (Previously 10%)

The Marshal Gloves Armour set piece, Marshal’s Gauntlets, will have its mod swapped:

The “Shattered Armour” mod will be replaced with the “Mosh Pit” mod.

Deathproof

A new set bonus will be added to the existing bonus.

The existing bonus is:

“Reduce the Cooldown of Boulderdash by 90%.”

The additional new set bonus will be:

“Reduce the Cooldown of Boulderdash by 90% and increase Firepower by 15% of Armor.”

The Deathproof Gloves Armour set piece, Deathproof Gauntlets, has had its mod swapped:

The “King Slayer” mod will be replaced with the “Death’s Door” mod.

Statue

The Statue set will have its attributes swapped:

The Skill Leech attribute will be replaced with a Close Range Damage attribute.

Pyromancer
Lava Lich Set

The set bonus of the Lava Lich set will have the cooldown reduction it provides increased to 30% (Previously: 10%)

Reforged Set

Reforged was originally intended to be a Long Range Firepower set. However, players have mostly used it with Anomaly Power builds. We will therefore change the attributes of this set to better support Anomaly Damage builds. The Long Range attributes on all set pieces will be changed for either a Cooldown Reduction or a Skill Leech attribute.

The Reforged Head Armour set piece, Cowl of the Reforged, will have its attributes swapped:

The Health attribute will be replaced with an Anomaly Power attribute.

The Long Range attribute will be replaced with either a Cooldown Reduction or a Skill Leech attribute

The Reforged Chest Armour set piece, Armor of the Reforged, will have its mod swapped:

The “Bullet Absorption” mod will be replaced with the “Ash Grasp” mod, which inflicts Ash on all enemies in Thermal Bombs AOE range prior to its explosion.

This should make Thermal Bomb much easier to use as part of this set.

The Reforged Lower Armour set piece, Waistcloth of the Reforged, will have its mod swapped:

The “Wildfire” mod has been replaced with the “Fire Frenzy” mod, which provides an additional use of Thermal bomb.

The Reforged Feet Armour set piece, Boots of the Reforged, will have its mod swapped:

The “Nova Master” mod will be replaced with the “Anomaly Hunger” mod.

The set bonus of the Reforged set will have its damage bonus increased to 75%.

Using Thermal Bomb increases the next damage of Feed The Flames by 75% (Previously: 50%)
Using Feed The Flames increases damage of next Thermal Bomb by 75% (Previously: 50%)

Trickster
Trespasser Set

A new set bonus will be added to the existing bonus.

The existing bonus is:

“Player characters inside Slow Trap cannot die”.

The additional new set bonus will be:

“Increase damage by 6% per enemy affected by a Deception skill. Additionally, Players can’t die inside Slow Trap.”

Note: Deception Skills are: Slow Trap, Venator’s Knife, Time Rift

Technomancer
Torrential Downpour Set

The extra cluster bombs spawned by the set bonus of the Torrential Downpour Set will have their deployment time reduced.

A bug that is preventing an extra mine’s deployment after a direct hit will also be fixed

Grim Inventor’s Set

The set bonus of Grim Inventor set has been changed so that Tools of Destruction will be able to be refilled multiple times during its duration:

  1. So this is what we're waiting on? I was hoping for actual new content. They just keep rotating things around instead of giving us any tangible new material. Even Cyberpunk 2077 has new content. Not much (some jackets and a car) but at least that means CDPR is thinking of us. People Can Fly should at least make transmog a thing. Then they can sell skins and with more revenue, they can hire people to create more missions and end-game content.

  2. Thanks for the video Leeroy. Your input, comments, and analysis really help put the changes into perspective.

    With the Pyromancer I don't think the thermal bomb will surpass the acari set (which I hope it doesn't). Cause their are a few things that makes me shy away from thermal bomb and feed the flames. It's the aiming aspect.

    I like the idea of getting 2 hits on thermal bomb before the cool down. So that you can thermal, feed the flames, then thermal again for that 75% boost. But Often times with thermal bomb and the frantic nature of combat in the game… You'll have tons of baddies running and jumping everywhere and all over you, sometimes the NPC's bullet block for other NPC's and you end up putting thermal bomb on a fully healthy NPC instead of the one you were working on killing. You get pushed into someone or something else and not hit your target with the power. I've tried hitting a weak npc with thermal bomb and I end up hitting the guy on the other side of the map instead of the guy right in front of me. Then the same thing happens with feed the flames or something.

    Whereas with the acari set and ash blast builds… The aoe attacks of all those abilities require no targeting. So the acari set is still the best to me.

    The Technomancer tools of destruction minigun seems bad because it only seems good in solo. It moves to slow to keep up with the team and if someone goes down you move to slow to get over to them and you have to put down the tool forcing it to go into cool down just to revive someone that is dbno. And even though rocket launcher is faster it suffers from the same revive issue. You feel sort of punished for helping a teammate. Idk. But that's my 2 cents lol.

  3. None of those Pyromancer changes actually change ANYTHING. If you have a 3 piece Akari you won't be gaining anything but actually gimping your build. Don't care what skills, weapons or mods, there is still 0 reason to run any of that trash. All of these huge changes? Lulz, this is a nothing burger.

    Any word on fixing XBOX log in and disconnecting issues? GG waiting months for this? This was the nail.
