NOTE 1/4: ICE BREAKER DOES NOT WORK OFF HOST! Ice Breaker seems to do A LOT more single target damage for whatever reason right now. This has been reported. Not sure what is causing this interaction, further testing is required to confirm what it causing this bug/issue. Use it over Bone Shrapnel for now for this specific build when ON HOST.

NOTE 2/4: After further testing of this build, I would recommend it for only human maps and hybrid maps with few monsters. Alphas and Brood Mother’s absorbing skin ability will make your freeze damage null due to them resisting the freeze status effect. Try avoiding heavy monster maps such as Timeworn, Heart of the Wild etc.

NOTE 3/4: There seems to be still some level of inconsistency with the Borealis Set. If at any point you see your damage dropping off, please un-equip and re-equip the set and it should be working again.

NOTE 4/4: You are more than welcome to swap out Ice Breaker for Bone Shrapnel to get bet better consistent ad clearing. Why do we use Ice Breaker here instead of Bone Shrapnel? For some reason right now, it does more single target damage having Ice Breaker mod equipped ON HOST. And if you haven’t heard the Ice Breaker SFX when it activates, check it out! Sounds so satisfying.

This build brings the Borealis Techno on par with the all purple build. Awesome to see!

  2. I like this version over the previous one. For me, its primarily because I haven't found a weapon with Dark Sacrifice yet. I finally got an Absolute Zero today. So apparently I should break it down lol. Ok then. I was hoping to level it up (it was lev 42 when found). I'm just tired of using the DLC assault rifle, but it appears to still be the best for technos.

  9. I had this build a few weeks ago…the ONLY thing i didn't have was UFB…….i'm using winter blast till i get the Absolute Zero drop…..still haven't had that gun drop at all between my 2 builds and 300 hours of gameplay….so frustrating lol…

    my only comment is…isn't having ice breaker and icicle storm kinda duplicate? I traded out icicle storm for a damage boost mod because if i am constantly proc's ice breaker, then i don't need a duplicate aoe clearing mod.

    keeping frostbite as the mod (reduce 100% of armor while frozen by skill) and adding another damage mod like stand tall or dum dum bullets def helps you take out bosses quicker while still having an aoe clear in ice breaker

  11. Love the build vids fam but your homie didn't come up with it 🤣😂 look at my page ull see the last 2 vids I posted my build and what it can do. I even saw u posting builds on reddit and we even had a short convo where I posted my build then it got downvoted to hell like always by the goofs that follow me around gotta love the haters. 😂🤣 I've been running a hybrid toxic freeze build with the zero since before the appreciation package cause I could never get the damn inferno seed to drop until the appreciation package but I kept getting zeros out the ass for no reason

  12. the 15% toxic damage is additive to the 25% toxic damage, same goes for freezing. these mods are not multiplicative, therefore using dum dum bullets or any other mod with percentage bonus would increase your damage more than using the 15% toxic/freezing damage tier 2 mods.

  13. new subscriber here. love the build, i was actually able to make except i have armor P on my Rifle instead of crit i had an LMG with crit sam stats, but it couldn't hang, also tested a shotgun, same results, cant hang . the problem i ran into is im on console and you just cant hit the timely shots to not get destroyed on some of the harder maps (frontline, Paxian Homestead, boom town, frontline, frontline). i even removed the larger radius on toxic shot with damage absorber t2 mod and you can still blink and die. why the damage is great survival ability was hard times especially not solo as I normally play with other random players to help them get loot (the randoms can be, how you say, Special). I have found with out fail that only the devastator has the damage, survival ability, and abilities survive any fight. why like most end game builds i rely on t3 mods and legendaries the devastator at times is laughably unkillable and does great damage thanks to moaning winds. any advice on how to survive a mission like frontline on console when potentially carrying 2 randoms using Borealis? (also devastator works off host pretty well since he has no use for shooting)
