  1. Xbox Series S uses a dynamic resolution with the highest native resolution found being 1920×1080 and the lowest native resolution found being 1280×720. Native resolution pixel counts at 1280×720 seem to be uncommon on Xbox Series S. On Xbox Series S temporal upsampling is used to reconstruct a 2560×1440 resolution.

PS5 uses a dynamic resolution with the highest native resolution found being approximately 3008×1692 and the lowest native resolution found being 1920×1080. Native resolution pixel counts at 1920×1080 seem to be rare on PS5. On PS5 temporal upsampling is used to reconstruct a 3840×2160 resolution.

Xbox Series X uses a dynamic resolution with the highest native resolution found being approximately 3456×1944 and the lowest native resolution found being 1920×1080. Native resolution pixel counts at 1920×1080 seem to be very rare on Xbox Series X and were found less often than on PS5. On Xbox Series X temporal upsampling is used to reconstruct a 3840×2160 resolution.

In the scenes tested where both PS5 and Xbox Series X were not rendering at their maximum or minimum resolutions, the Xbox Series X rendered at a higher native resolution than the PS5. As an example, at one point in a cutscene the Xbox Series X rendered at a resolution of approximately 2792×1570 and the PS5 rendered the same scene at 2560×1440.

PS5 and Xbox Series X have extra trees and foliage in some scenes compared to Xbox Series S. PS5 has improved texture filtering compared to the Xbox consoles https://bit.ly/2RfkjxX

  2. Gamers, streamers, youtubers: Great game, fun mix of many popular games with an interesting story and lots to do along with fleshed out side quests

PCGamer, Gamespot: LET US GAMES JOURNALISTS PAUSE THE GAME PLEASE OMG OMG!!! SERVER ISSUES IN AN ONLINE GAME HAVE NEVER HAPPENED EXCEPT WITH OUTRIDERS! BUY MARVEL'S AVENGERS TODAY WITH DISCOUNT CODE "SELLOUT"!!

(seriously, go look at their articles on Outriders, hardcore butthurt that Square Enix/PCF didn't pay em or give them review copies weeks in advance like EA/others do, similar crap they pulled on Cyberpunk with saying the PS4/Xbox one problems somehow made the PC/Next-gen releases unplayable because Polish devs don't pay for reviews LUL)

  3. It's pretty fucking sad that next gen is still only pushing 60 fps… where is all this 4k@120fps… game looks awesome though. Makes me think that I want a PS5 or Xbox Series X just because I can't get one…

  4. I think it's hilarious that everytime the PS5 outperforms Series X on a third party title, which is more often than not Microsoft fans cry "oh, it's gotta be a bug", rather than there being more underneath the hood than given credit for, and when Series outperforms PS5 they're like "See! world's most powerful console!" is claimed. Xbox fanboys kill me. Lmfao!

  5. I find this strange and their appear to be a lot over sights in this game, resolution may be one of them. I'm not a fanboy so don't even come at me with that I'm just pointing it out.

  6. Xbox is missing shadows and the texture filtering is so much more crispy on PS5. Remember kids it's not the resolution but the zoomed in pixel quality that matters.

  7. Bought it on PS5 but gave it a spin on Series X/Game Pass as well. They look and perform identically. So a great job by the devs across the board. Really enjoyable game too. Recommended.

  8. Well not only is it free in xbox but it plays alot better, defiantly wouldn't pay 70$ to play this on the Japanese console. When the usa console gives it away for free and it even plays better too. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

  9. peasantboxseriesX version looks blurry as hell and it's supposed to have a higher resolution than the ps5. yeah when you have a peasant I/O throughput that's what happens. oh and ps5 has a better fps, better shadow quality, better world details and better AF as well

  10. Awesome stuff I hope one day you explain to people as I know the differences we see between the 2 aren't big enough to warrant even worrying when playing they both look amazing also thanks for pointing out the textures in your comment on the ps5 it seems all people do is hype up the Xbox on its graphics but they seem to forget about little things and I understand how good the Xbox is believe me but for some reason people think with there eyes they can see this huge difference with resolution I'm like g us I don't think you even understand resolution when thwy speak like that lol it's like do you remember how good 1080p can look I'm like between these 2 consoles with your eyes its hard to truely see a difference on a monitor with high pixel density or even a 55 inch tv at 7+ feet they are both going to look stunning I feel sometimes people are ridiculous and don't understand how the eyes work now don't grt me wrong of course you will see a difference from 1080p to 4k I'm not saying that but the other little differences aren't as much as people think lol

  12. Could you explain about temporal upsampling? Is it same thing as 4k checkerboard rendering? And realistically speaking does it look almost or nearly identical to native 4k? Basically if you play native 4k and this version, how different would it look? Much appreciate for information.

  13. This is not exactly next gen looking yet the PS5 is struggling?!? Poor optimisation from the devs or have I made a mistake buying the PS5, 70 quid on PS5 and free with gamepass on the X systems, ill be getting an SX for gamepass alone asap.

  14. Itโ€™s a shame the devs havenโ€™t put forth the effort to introduce a 120fps performance mode option for the New Consoles as both machineโ€™s are absolutely more than capable of delivering 1440p 120 in this game !
