I think I have reached my final opinions on the FASER builds. I think they are amazing solo player builds. They can AoE clear and do primary boss damage. If you use the middle tree you also have great survivability.
In groups the FASER build still performs well but it appears the strength it has during solo runs falls off in team runs. You will probably still be top damage, but feel mobs you used to one shot in a solo run need much more effort in a group.
Also, if you play with another player that is a primary damage dealer the playstyle feels bad. Firepower Technomancers, Leapquake Devastators / Impale Devs do their damage so fast.
As the pyro, you need to adjust because your damage isn't fast to ramp up. Missed FASER beams feel super bad. Especially if you miss because a teammate killed the target.
It's not like you pray for their failure but yeah I want the kill because it is fun.
Overall, I love the FASER playstyle, but it is punishing for FASER misses. I would rank FASER build slightly over Dev Leapquake and Techno Firepower because it can do primary damage without sacrificing map clearing abilities due to Overheat. I'd take Leapquake second because it is debuffing targets to help the team. The firepower techno is just a hired gun. Aim it at a target an its dead, but it kills 1 at a time. Although, those are very quick 1 at a times.
