Headshots are guaranteed crits, it is so easy to proc 4 stacks. Embalmer rage is too weak as you lose tons of power from not using the 40% anomaly to FP mod. You’re not crit damage will match if not beat your crit damage while using embalmer rage. Also the 6 sec cd nerf made it really bad , it used to not be like that a year ago

Because why do you care about getting 3 seconds of crits when you could start spamming abilities that benefit from mages rage. Embalmers is only good with firepower builds or on enemies with difficult crit hit boxes, and all the bosses in trials have easy enough crit hit boxes to where embalmers is unnecessary and could be replaced with a damaging mod.
I could be missing something but embalmer's rage seems like overkill. Mage's rage only takes 4 crits to get maximum benefit, which is incredibly easy against most enemies. I just don't see the benefit of embalmer's over something actually adding damage like firestorm.
been using this still from since WS launch i was lucky enough to get a dual pistol with mages rage then i added fortress second slot with and my trickster one shot trick (i do 44% extra damage to elites)

Because embalmers is a dead perk on bosses that’s why nobody is using it. Headshots are so easy to hit to proc mage
Because all you need to do is hit a weak spot to get a crit, something like the arbiters its super easy to do so… you would be better off using fortress on certain builds
