There's most definitely a hard cap on armor, if you have over your armor in your character sheet it will show just how close you are to this cap in a percentage
Anyone else finding that since the patch any expedition with crawlers causes your game to just freeze and you cant do anything and just die when it unfreezes. Not the crawlers beam that freezes you its the full game that freezes for a few seconds. It only happens when more than 2 crawlers appear.

What is broken is the game not correctly applying all the bells and whistles under certain conditions. This was already the case before the patch. Just to a lesser extent. Mods possibly suffer from the same and that is why people often see mods not working. It might even go so far that NPCs are affected by all this aswell. Playing in Multiplayer, not being the host, exacerbates this even more. Which would mean that there is something fubar'd deep in the game. Smells like Spaghetti Code.
Armor decreases physical damage, in the earlier generation of games projectiles do not count as physical damage, it was piercing damage or armor piercing. It's not very clear if enemy AI have this or not in outriders.

1000million is not a number. That's 1 billion goofball. Armor works fine. It reduced damage and the numbers are scaled on a global level. It's similar go diablo 3 where trillions of toughness doesn't mean you can go afk in battle and go eat dinner. The second you stop fighting the enemies murk you in the highest content. The same with division 2 put on a 5million armor shield and don't shoot anyone in heroics your agent will die in 10 secs. Shoot and kill things and nothing will murk you. You didn't show any 1 shots at all. From I have yet to see someone with 19k+ health get 1 shot. If 2 snipers blast you and you die that's your fault not the game. Git gud kids
There’s an armor cap in the game which is reachable with reg mods as it is. There’s some problem with enemies damaging over that cap at the moment 😩 Love the 1 billion armor tho 🤣
Uninstalling,if I’m being honest game creators or whoever just don’t care about there game when they’ve clearly gotta great one in the making can’t continue to spend 12+ hours a day ona game that pretty much is broken🤦🏽♂️It’s a shame honestly

U cant even get pat the loading screen since this update. I was kinda getting use to this being a single player game since the multiplayer stability is so bad most days but now I cant even play. Oh well. Now not saying I am leaving forever but I am kinda ready for a new Destiny season so I got something to play while I wait to have this stabilize
I put the game down a couple days before this latest patch right after I did my 9th straight ct15 gold in a row and got not one single legendary on all 9 runs after that I seen no point in continuing to invest Ina game that's broken I don't see how I can clear 9 of the highest CT in the game and get not one single legendary by design.
I tweaked my anomaly pyro by swapping emergency stance for the constant resistance and armor mod, then cut up from bottom tree into mid tree at the low health damage buff to grab 20% more armor and resistance perks. Sitting at a constant 73% damage reduction 50% resistance. Handling the new patch okay. Spec a little tanky for now and hopefully they fix it eventually

Firstly it caps at 85% so you wont ever be immune to damage. all this clip shows is that he take a normal amount of damage relevant to his damage reduction. I am not saying saying that armor, damage mitigation and Emergency Stance are not broken. They are in fact broken, but this clip is a horrible representation because he just stands there so of course they will damage and eventually kill him.
Armour has a cap. So I think the highest you can have is 75% PHYSICAL resistance. So doesn’t matter how much you stack after you hit the cap. However there’s a second damage mitigation stat – RESISTANCE. This one blocks status and anomaly damage.
It’s this second stat that people don’t have. You get one shot by anomaly damage from the elites.
Previously Emergency Stance mod give you the Gollum effect which is both armour and resistance. Now people are switching to armour only mods (Blacksmith or Mitigation From Death) but not adding in the Resistance to status (toxic and burn hurts like a MFer now) and anomaly damage.
Try using Circle Of Power with your anomaly builds and see if that makes it any better.
not sure what the sniper 'nerf' was. i got sniped on a trickster the exact second i teleported 30 meters from where i was. (e.g. sniper lines up the shot, i teleport, get hit with the shot immediately at the new spot after maybe 1/2 step). They still hit pretty hard too, so the 'nerf' seems to be their aiming time only from what i could guess.
Yeah I was doing 13’s easy last week I put on 3 mods to help me survive and iam getting one tapped by melee and snipers in CT11’s I think Iam done with PCF think it’s time to uninstall this garbage game
It seems, what they messed is that, everything does % dmg of our total health, seems something silly, but kinda i believe it that's what's happening. For me, just about everything eats 70% life with 1 hit. And if that trainer really works for the dmg he does it has to work for the armor too, so if the mobs in the vid really do %of the character health, well seems armor it's not in the calculations anymore
what i see is that definetly something has changed with damage according to my own gameplay and experience but i also think this video is not really a good proof. Ive seen 1000m armor here (which doesnt make a difference from something about 300k i belive as its already capped at 85% according to whats written in character sheet) dies, but never got one shot and honestly, staying in one place and not shooting or burning to heal up? bruh he survived super long as for inactive afk player. i myself played emergency stance before and i thought it works (not checking all those videos every day), as ive seen it procing from time to time when i got to low hp. i truly thought this really saved my ass many times. right now i replaced ES to mitigation from death, my armor goes up to around 210k and i feel like im way more tanky than without it running at 50k. i belive its either armor works but not as intended (and lets say it says cap is 85% but its like 50% so those powerful shots like sniper or jumping alphas can still do some crazy stuff) or armor works as intended but monster damage sometimes trigger in a weird way and is overcalculated.

Does people not know what one shot means it means where you only get one hit not Multi hit one shot mean they have to do one bullet are one melee hit

He prob just changed the GUI value and did not edit the value from memory. Meaning he still had the same amount of armor as he did before the edit.
