In this video we are talking about the tier 15 expedition, eye of the storm and how it’s an absolute joke for it to be put into the game the way it has been. How these devs can charge a huge amount of their endgame currency, give no extra player rewards, have stupid times for certain completion levels and put story bosses in their “endgame” content then charge £60 for the game is beyond me. I can't even be bothered to attempt eye of the storm because of how ridiculous it actually is in terms of cost, reward and everything in between
Not almost impossible to get gold solo, actually impossible. Even if playing perfectly and not allowing a single enemy to get within the circle to stop progress on the pillar, by the time all three are complete as a solo you're already in silver territory. Silver is the best a solo player can get.
Almost feels like it was a different team that designed all three Yagak encounters.
They have a completely different rhythm to the rest of the game, lack trash mobs and are honestly pretty boring. (1st one was ok).
Had to completely change my build to solo this as my normal build relies on having a lot of enemies on the map to regen health through skill leech and generate additional AP for damage (Acari set). There are so few enemies in the entire encounter that build just doesn't work.
Once you've learnt the encounter it's minutes of boredom where you literally run in small circles to avoid the Strix attacks with no other enemies on the map. The only relevant bit of the fight is the couple of moments of panic when Yagak spawns his two elites three times as his health goes down, which will wipe you with perma-stagger attacks if you don't spot and freeze them as soon as they spawn and then guess what – restart the whole thing and another 9 and a bit minutes of boredom waiting for pillars to descend with nothing to fight.
Worst encounter in the entire game imo including all other expeditions and story missions.
The more i see… More likely i am to finish story and done…
I know how to get stopped from being kicked where the boss is located the answer is play with friends you know in person or play solo but I know you shouldn't have to play it that way
I just dont bother with EotS. Ran it once and by the time i was done with the thrid pillar, i just hit the silver mark time. And then got OHK by a sword dude. Never went back. Not worth the pain.
And we need more content creators like you that tell these pushy players how it is because there are so many content creators out there trying to be the good guy they never say anything to deal with the problem and that is why I respect you because you say what needs to be said
Lengedary armor…thats hilarious Bill. Like I could ever get a legendary…yet alone armor or any set of armor. As for EOTS, I cannot figure it out well enough to solo. Keep in mind, I dont watch vids, use glitches, or cheats. So, I guess im not smart enough to complete a useless task. Cheers

I've given up on the game. I can't believe how lazy the devs were, considering it took them 5 years. Too late to refund, so the icon of the game remains on my desktop. A disappointing monument of failed expectations and bitter experiences.
I definitely hear you man. To be honest we really payed for a beta. We love the game but it’s so messed up
If only they had packed the entry fee for "the eye of the storm" behind a real money paywall. My lifetime to farm the resources for the access is worth significantly more than any real money entry fee (in direct comparison and the technical fail chance). 😒 For me the game is currently the disappointment of the year and I am currently having 100 times more fun with "Horizon Zero Dawn CE" (PC) than this game could ever give me. 😊
Well done for trying at least far more patient than I was with it, though the stone set is still pretty broken damage-wise (Running it on T15 currently) if you want to go for a Devastator Firepower build. The only problem is there's no way of knowing what the hell you're grinding for and I got the set completely on accident.
So as a technomancer, I tried Eye of the Storm solo. I lost zero time on pillars able to kill every wave while standing in the pillars. Ran as fast as I could to the next pillar, and repeated. I had zero down time while charging the pillars. It was going great until I finished charging the last pillar and looked at the progress bar. By the time the boss finished his cutscene, the gold timer was already like 85-90% through. It would literally be impossible to solo gold unless you could somehow kill the boss in the 45 seconds or so that remained in the gold timer. I got the boss down to about 2/3 health and the big adds showed up nonstop jumping on me and my coldsnap did not freeze them so they just ate me for lunch. There goes 40k resources.
My biggest problem with this game, stuck on sign in.. like, still mate? Still?

I find it hilarious how you can’t go into cover for five seconds but NPC’s can’t camp out until fucking Xmas comes around!🤷♂️

Why are you even still playing this? its clear you are not having a great time. I uninstalled it a week ago because lets face it, the game is average and with all the bugs and balance issues. It's not even worth the time.
There is only 1 og looter shooter and thats borderlands at least in borderlands u can use any character and any endgame build and still do more than enough damage at endgame so u want to be a tank or healer borderlands has u covered outriders screw u over cause the only 2 builds that are viable are firepower or anomaly no diversity which makes outriders boring
i don't really understand your points man. I mean yes the grind is real to reach lv 50 gear, effin costly to upgrade you gear, but when you can gold ct15 everything seems so easy, you max out all the resources no time and 40k for eye is cheap when you always have max pods. Also they specifically said the Eye expedition is designed for group play. So not a big surprise you can't solo it gold w/o cheats. I can solo it bronze without any trouble with the anomaly devs and that's ok for me, if I perfected my build I think I can go for silver as well. Sure it would be nice if I can solo it gold, but the whole design of that expedition not really tailored to that (spoiler: you need to charge 3 pillars almost the same time in the first part).
My main is devs reached ct15 first week with anomaly build. I grinded hard the hunt quests (w/o the cheat) for the seismic parts and expeditions for the weapons and repeat the expeditions to get pods for leveling my gear, yes it took me days, but when I finally got all lv50 suddenly the game become easy. Also you need to do this once. The alt chars leveling will be easy when your main can upgrade all their gear and you have all the mods you need. Pyro a little bit tricky in the early phase you need good gear, but beast in the end. Techno and trickster easy from the start. So keep grinding you will get there.
By the time you are Golding most 14's and 15's you are hard capped on drop pod resources anyway it looks daunting once you get to tier 15 but once you gold like 3 or 4 of them the mats just start flowing in I mean you get 75k for a gold al 15 40k entry seems alot but its hardly anything
I have now given up on Outiders. I got my gear to 42, my mods and gear are fairly well optimised. I feel less powerful than I was and I cannot make any progress on CT8 and even worse, I cant even seem to survive in the lower tiers anymore.
My long 2 cents as one of the alleged “top-1%-no-lifers”(according to popular definition at least).
Regarding EOTS and cost of upgrades etc:
Yes EOTS itself is an absolute BS instance from a mechanic and reward perspective, I 100% agree. However, with regard to the resource costs of attempting it and upgrading gear in the end game, that eventually becomes a non-issue beyond a point. If you chose to attempt EOTS clears right after scraping through CT15, that’s all on you. Quite frankly if you are struggling with the pod costs of EOTS or max lvl gear upgrades, you simply haven’t progressed enough in the game on that given class. Yes it can be quite a journey(for some classes), but it’s a one-time deal, once u get CT15 on farm your resource problems vaporize literally overnight.
One can throw out all the insults or excuses regarding played time but it does not change the fact that everyone can get there eventually. The only difference between “1%-ers” and everyone else is they simply clock the necessary played time faster(in real world terms). If life is such that you can hypothetically afford to play 50hrs in a month versus for example my 250+hrs, it should not come as a surprise that it’ll take you 5 mths to get to the same progression I achieved in 1mth. Progression is proportional to time played, not “how long I’ve owned the game”.
Regarding devastators:
I mained a devastator as my first class(I only played the demo for a couple of hours and didn’t know better). As you said, it is absolutely possible to get to CT15 and get it on farm with just a bullet build, it just takes time and patience. I got CT15 on proper farm after about ~70hrs played, and did it entirely on a bullet build . If folks can’t handle the requisite grind for a bullet dev build, they can either play an AP dev build or just switch to a class that doesn’t require as much effort or investment and by that I mean literally any other class. Of course crying while waiting for a buff that might never come is an option too.
Are devastators underpowered compared to the other classes? Sure. I have since fully built a bullet pyro and techno too so I do have a good idea of where bullet devastators stand. In a game that prioritizes dmg and clear speeds above all else, classes that can conjure dmg out of basically nothing(i.e. technos and even post-nerf tricksters) will naturally be able to achieve the same or more with far less played time, gear optimization and sweatiness . Make no mistake, bullet Devastators are probably the most sweaty class to play by virtue of the fact that it’s the only class whose core ability(golem) requires maximum sweatiness to keep up 100% of the time. Volcanic/Blighted/Twisted rounds don’t have a buff timer, all you need is some form of ammo on kill/skill mod and you won’t have to worry about losing your rounds to time, all you need is to know when to strategically switch targets if you need ammo.
The way I see it, if they change things for the better, great. If not, I got my money’s worth in played time and I’ll move on to a different game soon enough.
I couldn't believe the copy n paste bosses… like really yall couldn't think of 5 or 6 more bosses or 5 or 6 archetypes for the endgame? UNBELIEVABLE!!!

when you can get to ct15 you will have 999 999 drop pod resources before you know it
Apparently each expedition has a loot pool that can be added to your overall loot pool if you complete it. So if you are missing certain drops they are most likely locked behind eye of the storm. I personally have found some people on outriders and tried to get a group together and have been carrying them through expeditions (because i was a solo player at first and none of my friends played outriders) in order to get a high level group in order to complete eye of the storm, Where after completion i would be able to get the missing equipment i need!!

It is indeed Bill I remember when you was playing the demo you and myself had high hopes for this game and thought it would be good but it's all gone down the drain nothing is going to reverse the damage the game has been hit with such a shame
I get what your saying but I’m capped at resources and don’t play all that much. I just farmed CT 13 for golds until I get the gear needed. Seriously I don’t see what’s so hard about that.
