Outriders – Ultimate Pyro Tank/Support/DPS Build – Eye of the Storm made easy!

If you watched my previous pyro video this is now a comparison to that with a finished build and appearance officially.

I finally got the last two max health status power, cool down reduction pieces for this set and then realized something on such a immobilizing tank build…middle tree isn’t where it’s at actually…but the trick is to not still care too much about your weapon damage either. I know country intuitive right? Let me explain…

So before I had 60k health investing mostly in the middle tree along with 20% more damage on burned enemies and 22.5% skill leech.

Now I have 48k health so 20% less and 10.5% skill leech.

But that’s no issue because of the cooldown reduction I was able to get. So now I put ash on even more which obviously helps my own tanking. However, that also means I get healed by more skills more often to compensate for less health and only slightly less regen. Less cool down on feed the flames means I recover my ammunition even better which helps tanking too but letting me spray more for the weapon and skill leech procing from all the burns. Finally, less cool down on Ash Blast means my 40% weapon leech buff for 8 seconds mod also procs more and almost as much as the duration of the skill itself. Also finally I now have the 10% less damage by elites in the top tree.

So by making these changes I’m no less tanky than I was anyway.

But now I do more damage! Sure less damage on burned enemies but I also just got 15% more damage on ashed enemies and my ash is better now so that already balances that loss.

Also, I now inflict vulnerability on all ashed enemies for another 15% damage (it gets buffed to last longer by the status power too). Less cool down means my Death Sentence mod is staying active slightly longer. I can shoot more plus my weapon damage for what little it’s worth is moderately better. I also do 10% more damage to elites from that same skill node.

Finally my support side of the build is better clearly as I keep ash on everything even longer plus I have the vulnerability debuff back helping my teammate damage too. Plus I do more damage myself while remaining just as tanky.

Basically most of my damage for this build STILL comes from sandstorm and death chains on my gun (not my actual gun damage…) but stacked up by so many statuses and mods I now have active on whoever I’m shooting nigh constantly: burn, ash, vulnerability, and death sentence.

Yet my gun damage is still not terrible and useful. I notice volcanic rounds still accounts for 15% of my overall damage plus that alone I notice is sufficient to destroy anomaly rifts quickly still which is always a plus when it’s needed in Eye of the Storm.

And as you see I changed up my look now and really like it.

Now this is a true tank/support with good dps pyro build!

This is honestly the best tank support build I made for soloing Eye of the Storm repeatedly since he immobilizes and heals almost just as good as my techno tank build while clearly doing more damage to get the job done. I literally can just stand there half the time letting the rifts shoot me too as I mow Yaagak’s stupid face down 😂😂.

My trickster video made this expedition look easy and quick. This is clearly even better.

In fact now I can confidently rank all 4 of my tank support builds for each class according to their strengths:

My trickster and devastator are truly tied in terms of their durability and support help for teams. They basically are the tankiest ones with good but the least support utility.

My Technomancer is slightly squishier than them with similar damage but offers far more support utility between both freezes and team heals and buffs.

Finally my pyromancer here is the build between those. It is also squishier than my trickster and dev but also offers more support utility with ash and vulnerability from it. It still does not compete with my techno on the support side BUT it clearly does the most damage of the four tanks now.

So with that I’ll conclude this chapter on my channel showcasing all the tank support builds with good damage still for all classes. All four are equal as far as I see with slight differences between who is the tankiest, who offers the most team help, and who does the most damage. All four, however, are good at ALL of that lol…and all four can farm Eye of the Storm solo with ease…

  1. Looks cool. I love how with the new update we can run builds that are "Fun".. Not just "Who can punch through as fast as possible". Glass Cannon or bust.
This looks fun, super super Tanky. Have you ever died with this build? lol I seriously want to know. If the answer is yes – Did your controller die? XD
Going to try this after I finish my Eruption/Faser/DPS build.

  2. I have been using this build through the campaign. On WT13 np got the my cooldowns low and very tanky. Well done Ben on a very good solo build, looking forward to the expeditions.

  3. I got half way through the video before I realized how this makes that expedition so easy and basically a cheat mode. Just keep everyone ashed outside the circle until the monument drops all the way down. Genius level
