OUTRIDERS – Which path is best for solo? Impressions of a casual player

Outriders offers four different paths to follow – Pyromancer, Technomancer, Trickster and Devastator. Not all of these paths or classes are equally good for solo play, and in this video I’ll share my impressions on which class is best for solo.

While Devastator and Trickster paths of Outriders are clearly made to shine more as part of a group gameplay, Pyromancer and Technomancer are the two competitors for the throne of the best solo class. So which one will win?

A lot depends on how you prefer to play and tactically position yourself in battle, and in my case it came down to a very close call between the Pyromancer and Technomancer. Let’s see which one came first, shall we?

  1. Devastator, warden tree with the 3% hp regen every second, add Tremor which damages and steals life, plus with all armour bonuses you have a walking tank, not to mention the mods, shields and life steal

  2. I downloaded the demo after your first video and started a technomancer. I got my friend to try it and he started a pyromancer. So far we are loving the game. I don’t think there is anything revolutionary about the game, at least not so far – it’s pretty much a standard looter-shooter. But the story is good, the voice acting is good, and the combat is very satisfying, which to me is the most important thing in a looter-shooter. We have both decided to pre-order the game and will be spending the rest of the demo trying out the other classes.

  3. I played the demo after your first video and you sir made a sale. Thanks for telling me about this game. Something I wish it told me was press f to melee and press it while sprinting. Sprinting melee can kill multiple smaller enemies.

  10. Based on your video I gave this game a look. It was a lot of fun. I did find the pyromancer sort of the easiest to use at the start because of the way the healing works. My kids also really liked the demo and were pretty disappointed when we reached the end. Probably going to have to buy this one ($60 US). Thanks for the recommendation.
