  1. Making a game pop is just the way to do it cause of this generation, back in the late 90s early 2000s we never had games that pop in colors, we just cared about the gameplay mainly but now the industry has set a standard for how games should look etc etc so I think it should be wise for the devs to make the game pop a little more just for those people that actually look at these things in games

  2. I love the post apocalyptic feel and way that Outriders brings it to the table. I like the feel of it more then others post apocalyptic game you can see how darker it can get compared to fallout and I didn't notice how dark it is until my friend pointed some things out and I was like damn the only other game I say the darkness is compared to is like to rage 1. Also, I love that darkness carry to the other biomes but also bring in some of the light into it to.

  3. Personally speaking I’ve always been a fan of a dark tone for biomes. Diablo, remnant ect. Like you say it fits the tone of the game/world. I know a couple people who just didn’t like the dark tone of say Diablo 3.

I’ve been really impressed with the biomes as I’ve moved through the story, sure the maps are linear but I don’t mind that myself. Diablo is about running rifts ect & while you’re doing the same thing again over & over just a change in backdrop freshens things up. So repeating hunts & bounties in outriders is something I’m planning on doing along with the expeditions.

I love how the armour sets changes with regions too, very cool

  4. Really interesting take. Well presented and articulated. I work at a studio and one thing that is clear speaking to the devs is that environment art and art in general is king in gaming. It’s the first thing people see and notice in any game. I happen to love the biomes in outriders, but you make a good point: it’s, not as lush and inviting as Anthem. I hope that doesn’t stop this game from seeing a decent amount of success.
