Outriders: Yeah, They Mostly Fixed It

Outriders, after its legendary patch, is in a great spot, but that’s also due to other changes you might not have realized the game has made. There’s more to come, but I’m comfortable recommending it again.

  1. Other than the trash unbalance MP where enemies have like 10x HP compared to solo. they need to fucking rebalance that. I can solo gold MOST expeditions at ct14-15 but in a group, I can barely silver ct13-14-15

  2. The problem with this game is there is no skill involved whatsoever. It’s all about your build. They need to add more challenging stuff in the future. Other than that I’m with you I hope this game will get more content. It’s fun

  3. Hang on…

    Anti Duplicate protection you say?

I've seen no real evidence of this… At least not in any meaningful way.

When you get Duplicate Legendaries from the same pod, sure, that's RNG… But when it happens 3-4 times in one session, I don't feel too "protected".

  4. Outriders is a great game overall. For me personally, I'm done for now because I'm geared up and bored. My opinion, there's nothing wrong with putting down a game that you are interested in, but not in the mood to play. I'm just waiting for new content to release and I'll hop back in. I think that if anyone has a slight interest in the game and have Xbox Game Pass, they should give it a shot.

  5. Credit where due: that shirt is awesome.

More Credit where due: it's not whether you fall, it's whether you get back up. Much like No Man's Sky, Destiny, Destiny 2, etc…. even if a game launches in a poor state, when a developer digs deep and fixes things, they may deserve a second chance.

While I want to give this game second chance, I don't know if PCF or SQENIX deserve it. All it means is that the game was NOT DONE when it came out. But… I suppose I gave Destiny and Destiny 2 a second chance… maybe Outriders also gets a second chance.

All that being said: the state of AAA games at launch is still shameful. Broken, bugged and otherwise borked games at launch, that 20-30 years ago would have never cut it. But now that's the trend. I feel like people "coming back" validates this trend, which really needs to stop.

  6. No incentive to kill enemies and rewards are locked behind the end chest, which means dealing with all the shit that comes with online games.

This game is more of an hamster wheel than destiny and that's saying a lot.
