I have the same take pretty much. Love the demo game, it's super fun and I can't wait until the full game release. It's done by Square Enix, and they have a pretty good track record with putting their money behind some choice content so I'm really looking forward to where they go with this if it gains traction.
My biggest problem with Outsiders was the writing and the world. The world didn't grab me or make me want to learn more about the lore and the characters just felt cheesy or not invested in their own story. Gameplay and mechanics are solid though, if that's what you mostly care about then I'd reccomend it. Hard pass for me

I never use cover I don’t understand how you guys use it in this game. I mow through everybody cover is for the enemies imo
I played the demo and it didn't impress me. Unfortunately Game Pass PC doesn't have Outriders which sucks, I would have given the full game a try again if it was on Game Pass PC. Not buying it full price PC or PlayStation that's for sure.
So excited to play the full game when it comes out! It’s gonna be on game pass so it saves me $60 thank goodness 😅
Now that anthem is canceled perhaps you will change to "Your Outrider" ?

I couldn't fly. I was disappointed.
For real, though, I just was but into it. And I really wanted to be. If I was going to like another looter shooter, this would have been it. I loved the lore, but I just didn't enjoy playing.
After maxing out all classes in Anthem and putting hours into the endgame, I understood why there were many that complained. Just fyi for all, Outriders was in the top ten on Steam for a few weeks. That's saying a lot being that it's only the demo. I'm quite sure the folks at People Can Fly sat back and noted the mistakes from Anthem, Destiny and Division 2. I'm sure some of you may have read the immediate responses PCF made when fans made negative or constructive comments. Outriders is a potential AAA franchise.

I've been playing the demo sense the start really enjoying the time
This looter shooter is gonna be top 5 it’s literally gears of war with abilities, borderlands loot type , destiny character style , division gameplay and the legendarys in this game are just absolutely beautiful whoever on that design team is incredible I had to stop playing the demo it was so addicting and it’s crazy the side boss had 3 or 4 different abilities I can imagine the endgame bosses
I totally get the comment about the blood and gore, but the setting definitely lends itself to the brutalism and violence portrayed. Humanity is in a desperate state and people are brought the closest to our animalistic, brutal state, especially when the trappings of society and structure are not present. It’s a great demo 😀

No lie, I really miss anthem, I love that game to death, but outriders is a DEFINITE MUST PLAY both me, my sister and my brother in law are having tons of fun with the game all classes are really interesting, but my top favorite would have to be trickster

Combat, weapons and world are all top notch… if not a little B-movie sci-di (which I love).

Smh.. This just feels like anthem meets fornite a mash up of both of them.. I get it that fornite making so much bank I never got into it… And I never was one to follow trends or hop on bandwagons I'm still pretty sore about anthem giving up or the developer's giving up on anthem… To me that game had so much potential and uniqueness and it was scrapped for something more like something else.. Don't we have enough copycats remakes bootlegs same types games
A lot of people may say that anthem was just another one of those type of copycat games but those of you who really played anthem know it wasn't at all all the make mechanics felt different and unique anyway…

Biggest difference between Anthem and Outriders? Easy, devs for Outriders are listening to the player base right from the start
So far I have 116 hours and all 10 legendries from the demo and all four of my characters are at demo max

I think I'm going to have to try it! Hopefully it's on Xbox, because my laptop will fold itself backwards trying to open the game.
Firstly, Stat Reroll feature?! If that's indeed true, that's going to be a awesome! Especially if it's anything similar to Division 1's reroll system!
Secondly, yeah so from the initial looks of things, PCF has pretty much done what I hoped BioWare was going to do with Anthem. That being, learn from the mistakes of past games of the genre and take a sizeable amount of the good established stuff… and deliver it all into a PvE focused, Player Power centric, Stat oriented experience.
Outriders while not perfect and a little rough around the edges in some regards, has been a joy to play. It's a blast! I can't wait to dive into the full game!!

Glad to see your vid dropped. I've enjoyed it. You're right about cover. It's not necessary but a nice extra, and definitely comes in handy when you just need a sec to start healing up. I'm loving Trickster, but I've done all 4 classes, and managed to get the Legendary Shotgun on my Trickster. Just patiently waiting for full release now.

i tried outriders i like the game . I'll buy it at launch BUT man the crashes when you open something are still a thing. I hope they fixed them again

One thing you didn't mention was that you can continue your characters from the demo into the main game on launch. The demo is the prologue, so you don't have to start it over if you buy the full game. I'm waiting on this to cure my Anthem sorrows. It's… promising.
