If they would just make some extreme rare drops on wich set bonus would be 2-piece they will revitalise all builds and players would come back because there's a reason to grind again…
And yes i wish they would go live service, first actually really balance all sets and guns They can easily expand on the tier ladder and gear (rings, bracelet whatever) And dont release all content at once, drip feed it every 1-2 weeks
Things like the easter eggs etc aswell, leave some to release at a random moment not all at once… with maybe like a legendary with extra t1 mod for a week etc
They could do so much with that potential but wont, it is 🤯
I think that's ONLY ok if the raid ain't 2 hard, but what we need to make sure is that if they ad more paid stuff, then it should be free if not free then it shouldn't have anything to extreme, like ig what I'm trying to say Is I don't want to have anything that is gonna require xb live or another payment, all I want is some loot and fun
Absolutely. we need dedicated servers. Peer to peer is a joke, especially when game gets hosted with some prehistorik technology consoles such as PS5 or god forbid, PS4 who struggle to run a game at 24-27 fps, let alone then handle all internet work, and you are on a state of the art PC, connected to main www net backbone at 300/50. The multiplayer experience is an insult to us gamers.
I'm torn. I hear what you're saying and you make a fair case. The way the post-campaign is structured, it's basically grinding and farming, much in the same vein as Destiny or Diablo, running endgame missions for better and better drops to enhance builds. As such, that does lend itself to a live service model. Given Destiny and Warframe's populations being, at least, better than Division 2 or Outriders (possibly combined), there is certainly money to be made and success to be had by being a live service.
However, when I look around the gaming landscape, games are announced as "live services," not a lot of people cheer that. Most people roll their eyes and groan, for a few reasons. First, there are already tons of live service games, whether looters specifically or not. And many players just don't have time to cram in MORE live service games just because every playerbase wants more to do in THEIR game of choice. Also, gamers know that while that model tends to yield regular to semi-regular updates, most of those updates are, like…a new mission or activity, which isn't much different than the last batch…some amount of new gear, which isn't too much better than the last batch (to prevent too much power creep)…a little bit of story, often that doesn't move the world or narrative forward much. So people feel more compelled to log on basically every day, but what they stay logged on and engaged for and with…isn't that terrific or mindblowing. They just stay logged on and engaged so they don't get behind, and most people who do that grow resentful fairly quickly.
That all being said, if it's a game modeled like Diablo or Destiny, maybe it doesn't need to do much. Throwing new mechanics and mission TYPES at the Outriders community, along with different gear types, maybe more gear slots, bigger skill trees, new enemies and factions and such, maybe that's all the game needs and new content doesn't need to be mindblowing. It just needs "more." Destiny and Warframe are live services that need NEW because of their age. Outriders is still young, it needs MORE. New isn't as much a priority yet.
I think the team at PCF proved they can make a game that has good gun play, fun loop, and unique power sets/mechanics. The best thing they could do is walk away after a good DLC and leave people thinking it was a good game then come back with a part 2 or a new IP.
Cloud-san, some issues I have: 1) to many legengary perks, what will lead to DEAD perks that no one uses. Its better to have fewer, but they are all good. 2) Legengary needs a buff, if you ignore the set bonus. Legengary does not feel like a huge step up vs epic. 3) New item rank, artifact? 4) Current dungeons are very very borning in terms of objectives, its all the same: shoot, stand still and charge the rock…. boring! Give us FUN dungeon objectives that give GOOD bonus reward like a ultra rare armor set perk. 5) More bosses in dungeons or hidden bosses with uniqe loot drops.
I think the main glaring issue they have is dedicated servers, as a live service they would absolutely have to go that route and they dont want to fork out the astronomical amounts for that each month.
Outriders would never work as a live service for a multitude of reasons:
1. They won't pay for dedicated servers 2. Overall gunplay quality doesn't come close to other looter shooters 3. They don't have the programming talent to consistently release new content 4. They do not understand long-term progression to start with
I would put more money in to the game If I could I think this game has so much potential just to art style alone draws me in. This game just leaves me wanting more all the time
Live service is why I stopped playing Destiny. I was a Destiny player since day 1 and stopped playing late 2020. What ends up happening in Live service they start to make u play the game the way they want u to play the game and not how u want to play. Not to mention removing payed for content from the game. All looter shooters don't have to be the same, Live service sucks imo.
Live service would be good but for me they need to bring in dedicated servers to resolve the lag issues, differentiate end game content and bring in something super rare which could be obtainable for a certain amount of times a week. Similar to raids in Destiny 2. While some would argue that is live service it could be done without a bunch of work put into it as a live service model would do. There's endless possibilities for the game and I hope to god they bring something that will end the endless grind of expeditions.
What side of the fence are you on? 🤔

After watching this, I went outside, starting yelling at some trees, came back and watched it again.
like nr 8

The live service model is ok but games with LS that have been brought out a half assed effort.

No they need to tone down the enemy spawn on solo it's stupid great game but solo no

This game just leaves me wanting more all the time
lvl 80 players lvl 100 gear ct 25 or 30 thats what i want anyway 😁👍
all I heard was "if they did go live service" it won't happen but cool ideas
Refine and revise the game in conjunction with fixing all of the issues plaguing the game before PCF even considers transitioning to a live service.
I like the game where it is now and very much looking forward to the new content now they are getting it right.. well done pcf

The servers are crap right now. Can’t even play with teammates without lagging out. Servers are the worst out of every game I own.

I'd settle for a seasonal model like diablo rather than a full on destiny GaaS model
The game is very experimental and I see them using this game as a foundation for there next ip/game. I'm all for it
Yesssssssssssssssssss! LS PLEASE PCF!
