  1. A-effing-men to cutting out the god-awful trend of trying to make games with both single-player and multiplayer and expecting it to be well liked. Few games have ever pulled this off with any sort of success and those franchises have since been annualized and bogged down with grindy progression mechanics that make them feel pretty pointless year over year.

  2. Excuse me Yahtzee but Capcom wants a word with you on equally tuning games for single and multiplayer at the same time. Monster Hunter World/Iceborn/Rise had no problem achieving this. I would also argue that Diablo II/III did that just fine!

  3. Yahtzee should also mention those literal aimbot snipers and RIFLEMAN enemies that shoots you in the face 0.1 second you glanced them from cover and hungry hungry monsters that one shot you constantly

  4. I saw the ads for this game and the fact that it has a demo, which is noteworthy since demos are rare these days. So seeing as it looked like the sort of game I might enjoy, I decided to download the demo to check it out. Not so fast! You need to make an account on the publisher's website to play just the DEMO, at which point I said "Bollocks to that! I'm not giving them my personal information just for the privilege of trying their demo!" Even if it was the best game on earth I don't think I'd play it; you do NOT need my personal information in order for me to play and enjoy your game. And now that I know it's a mildly interesting looter shooter, I'm only mildly disappointed that I won't get to play it.

  5. The statement a beard that changed how I played the game and allowed me to start enjoying it was "the covers not for you, it's for them." I'm sure this isn't how it was intended to be played, they teach you about it and there are perks and mods that give bonus for using cover but treating cover like an obstacle rather than a shield really was transformative.

  6. I've always loved the Escapist's reviews, but I hate how they are locking their latest releases behind a paywall.

Imagine criticizing EA for all their micro-transactions, and then locking their own content from you unless you pay some $$$.

  7. This guy talks fast enough I am not running the video at 1.5x speed like most other vids where someone talks……. and THEN there are the ones I watch at 2x speed because I want to hear what they say…………. but they talk tooooooo daaaaaammmmmnnnnn SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWW. His original videos must have been preparing me for when youtube would integrate a feature to run videos at high speed without everyone sounding like chipmunks.

  8. Cant remember who said it, but, the Chest Hight Cover isn't for you. Its for them, the AI. Your not meant to be using it much, your spos to be smashing away at them with your powers, squishing them and getting your heal back quickly…

  9. You can balance multiplayer and single player – see original Crysis, where both were absolutely phenomenal and way ahead of anything released at the time. And now more than a decade later, some games are still coming out worse than that even though there's a gazillion examples on how to do things Right.
