fuck yeah speedrun shoutout
Haha, all I play anymore is TF2 because of exactly what you described.
(valve plz do something about the bots)
Halo 1, 2, 3 and reach are examples of games that are good solo and cooperative.
Halo 1 was great in single player, coop and multiplayer though..
Knew it was shit and love being right
4:20 ish Ghost of Tushima wants to know your location
A-effing-men to cutting out the god-awful trend of trying to make games with both single-player and multiplayer and expecting it to be well liked. Few games have ever pulled this off with any sort of success and those franchises have since been annualized and bogged down with grindy progression mechanics that make them feel pretty pointless year over year.
Excuse me Yahtzee but Capcom wants a word with you on equally tuning games for single and multiplayer at the same time. Monster Hunter World/Iceborn/Rise had no problem achieving this. I would also argue that Diablo II/III did that just fine!
Well since Yahtzee brought it up, I would like to know his opinion on Warhammer.
COMMENT CURRENTLY OFFLINE, INSERT $60
monster hunter kinda has 2 campaigns one for multiplayer and the other for singleplayer. so you could say ti does a fairly good job
People Can Fly? More like People Can Fall With Style, amirite?
"You can't optimize a game for both single and multiplayer."
laughs in monster hunter encounter balancingYahtzee should also mention those literal aimbot snipers and RIFLEMAN enemies that shoots you in the face 0.1 second you glanced them from cover and hungry hungry monsters that one shot you constantly
“[Bosses with] health bars like we’re chewing on broom handles” is brilliant. Well done, Yacht Z!
(Joke name notwithstanding, praise is sincere)
Well at least on this cover they are walking towards the player instead of away, like in every other game in the last ten years
Yeah Yahtz, licorice. That's it. You sly dog.
I saw the ads for this game and the fact that it has a demo, which is noteworthy since demos are rare these days. So seeing as it looked like the sort of game I might enjoy, I decided to download the demo to check it out. Not so fast! You need to make an account on the publisher's website to play just the DEMO, at which point I said "Bollocks to that! I'm not giving them my personal information just for the privilege of trying their demo!" Even if it was the best game on earth I don't think I'd play it; you do NOT need my personal information in order for me to play and enjoy your game. And now that I know it's a mildly interesting looter shooter, I'm only mildly disappointed that I won't get to play it.
Found multi-player just turn enemy to super sponge bullet soaker with multi-player with the added benefit of having more guys come at you
The statement a beard that changed how I played the game and allowed me to start enjoying it was "the covers not for you, it's for them." I'm sure this isn't how it was intended to be played, they teach you about it and there are perks and mods that give bonus for using cover but treating cover like an obstacle rather than a shield really was transformative.
I've always loved the Escapist's reviews, but I hate how they are locking their latest releases behind a paywall.
Imagine criticizing EA for all their micro-transactions, and then locking their own content from you unless you pay some $$$.
I think Dark Souls would be an exception to games being designed exclusively for singleplayer or multiplayer
HOLY SHIT Yahtzee just referenced to the pausing bullshit going on in minecraft speedrunning. What an occurrence
This guy talks fast enough I am not running the video at 1.5x speed like most other vids where someone talks……. and THEN there are the ones I watch at 2x speed because I want to hear what they say…………. but they talk tooooooo daaaaaammmmmnnnnn SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWW. His original videos must have been preparing me for when youtube would integrate a feature to run videos at high speed without everyone sounding like chipmunks.
Hm, you were too kind on this bucket of
. I honestly got tired of the "game" just by watching the UEG's video about it… So boring…
There is no way to make it equally enjoyable for single and multi-player experience.
Laughs in MH: Rise and MH:World/Iceborn.
Cant remember who said it, but, the Chest Hight Cover isn't for you. Its for them, the AI. Your not meant to be using it much, your spos to be smashing away at them with your powers, squishing them and getting your heal back quickly…
Online-only trash #8,743. The moment I see that a game is online-only, I bail as if land sharks exist in it.
I can only wonder just why they thought giving our Custom Character a voice and personality was a good idea.
I like how he included "water temple" on the speedrun list xD
4:30 cod mw2 … game enjoyable both single player and multiplayer
The ending quip was fucking gold
You can balance multiplayer and single player – see original Crysis, where both were absolutely phenomenal and way ahead of anything released at the time. And now more than a decade later, some games are still coming out worse than that even though there's a gazillion examples on how to do things Right.
Yahtzee, the management game you played involved you hiring security guards to murder secret agents and building rocket bases. You haven't stopped being violent, you've just outsourced it.
Which "Shrine To Capitalism" did you have in mind Yahtzee? Because I'm definitely sick of "Live Service" video games.
Careful Yahtzee, being nice to cats is controversial lately.
It's perfectly playable solo if you pay attention to how World Tier works and set it to what's manageable instead of letting it automatically spiral out of control.
Love this as much as i love minecraft youtubers
