I would just like to say I have now tried reflect devastator and WOW. I’d move to #2. How would you rank the characters? (Obviously this is speculation and I am sure all the characters will be viable if you put the time into them)

UGH clickbait video. There is no best class for every scenario. A bullet reflect dev will clear trash and elites faster then any class, solo. Doesnt work the same with multiiple people. As op as the devastator is to trash mobs, its weak af to a strong boss like gauss when compared to a blight round techno.
Every class is the best in the situation they were designed for. You cant play a techno like a dev, and you cant play a dev like a techno. No class can stack DoT like a pyro, which will make him invaluable with really beefy bosses.
I picked pyromancer as my first character, idk if I should start maining devastator or trickster or stick with pyro?
I would put the trickster as my number 1 as well but pyro would be my number 2, in the demo at least for the technomancer does not do very well
I've pre-ordered this game but I'm still worried about how long it will last and sadly it's square enix who also failed with avengers now if they try to go for Warframe with this start coming out with new classes interesting bosses and the fact that this is the planet with monsters added on top of it we need to have some beast hunts raids involving killing some creature there's so much that can be utilized with this game and I'm terrified that square enix won't utilize any of these thoughts
i think alot of people forget about the melee for pyro in this game. its melee also applies the mark and burn to enemies so u can still b agro when skills are on cd. melee cd is just a tiny bit longer then the animation so go ham!!! once all skills are unlocked i think it will b extremely strong
I feel like if things become tanky when we get to higher world tiers trickster starts to fall off quickly. Your have to get close ranged kills to get that shield and i just see people trying to be too aggressive and getting shredded.
Dev has crazy survivability, pyro can burn and mark everything on the map, and tecnho has great healing and pretty good damage as well. I feel like those 3 might end up being more viable but that's just my unpopular opinion

Technomancer #1, you can melt through stuff in seconds, and no you do not need specific mods at all. Leveling, or farming is a breeze.
Trickster… Not a good leveling toon, hard to master.
Pyromancer, I agree, a bit weak on the heals, also DPS wise it depends on gear.
Devastador, the deflector dude. Without the deflecting bullet mod this character is a pain to play
Pyromancer’s level 6 ability let’s you mark every enemy around and kill previously every marked enemy, that combined with 1 thermal bomb heals you almost full health.

I agree with your assessment the Pyro for the Demo is the worst class but if you put the work in on the full game and for COOP they could be amazing. The trickster for the demo is hands down the best class amazing DPS can kill captains and the Boss super fast or farming. At first, i did put the technomamcer second but due to gear and mods for my devastator my second favorite for the demo and not far behind on DPS from the trickster but much more mod and gear dependent than the Trickster.
With deflect devestator is say they're number 1 faster kill time out of any class, paired with survivability. Being able to clear the map in about 2 seconds is insane and faster than anyone else also whiping out bosses in less than 5 seconds is insane
The trickster is by far my favorite. The amount of people you can kill with one slice of the temporal blade is amazingly helpful . But the devastor is definitely my second favorite. The tank aspect of that class is great for just rushing through captains and just zeroing eveything
Something I never see anyone comment on is that the Pyromancer doesn't have to kill enemies in order to heal, they just have to apply DoTs. This means they are in good shape during team play. They just need to try to DoT everything, not focus fire. Then all their team's kills also heal them. So they play as a bit of a hybrid support between DoTs and debuffs they apply. The Devastator is the only other one that heals from teammate damage. It's a pretty significant detail.
Pyro aoe is nuts, i never have an issue marking the ENTIRE MAP and being fed hp when things die from me or even team mates
I play my technomancer as mid range not focused long range and I absolutely wreck im making a mid range elemental shaman build running a AR and rifle

Dev will be best end game. Trick is best early game. He will struggle later. Tech will always be good bc he's support as long as he's in the back bc he's squishy. Pyro needs buff or tons of xrazy mods to make him top pick.
This guy's opinion on the characters is wack… All 4 characters are really good and gives you a different play style with each one. If you have an issue healing with any character? Keep your eye out for a weapon with the mod Essence Thief. Each shop Heals you!

I can kill way faster with the devastator compared to any other class
I feel like you guys just don't know how to use the pyromancer I've enjoyed it And the fact that it has multiple stuns As well as a great heal stun is pretty great. Pyro imo shines in boss fights
Here's my 2 cents from best to worst after trying them all to the fullest from the demo
Single target dps: 1.trickster 2.techno 3.pyro 4.devas (judging from the speed of killing the electro boss)
Group dps: 1.techno 2.pyro 3.devas 4.tricks (judging from group clear speed in 3 people team)
Sustain: 1.devas 2.pyro 3.tricks 4.techno (judging from both long range and close range survivability) note that pyro's large group mark skill can heals you even when teammate secure the kill
Pyro as of now are not no.1 in any category, no team support skills like heal/block bullet/time slow. Thats mainly why it feels the weakest for now. However it is quite balanced in everything and I can totally see how it might be the best when things start to get really hard and sustain/consistent damage become really important.
Before I started playing the demo I checked out all the classes to see which one I should play. Ended up really liking the technomancer as a concept and thought that would be my main. Played it and it just didn't sit right as it turns out so now Devastator is my boy. How the hell did I go from wanting to play a long range sniper healer to a close up tank? Who knows, all I know is I'm sticking to it now

Personally I felt the Techno is the weakest as the game seems heavily focused on CQB and that long ranged weapons are kind of redundant.
the techno will be the #1 needed because end game demands healing. they have already said this too. they wanted this to be a true old school type rpg at end game.

all classes are 100% going to be able to solo all content no doubt
from a min maxing perspective in group play i Honestly believe you will need a Technomancer for speedrunning or just bossing
Potentially the best single target damage in the game pared with a ton of utiliy
Pyromancer for clearing of trash mobs AoE i do see a world where trickster or double devistator is just better at what pyromancer does but the small cc windows are nice for the technomancer to take out big enemies
and Trickster or Devistator as a bullet sponge/frontliner
if we keep being able to CC bosses Technomancer is prob going to be #1 boss killer but lack of map clear is obvious compared to the other 3.
Technomancer got so many amps to what we assume is the hardest hitting weapon in the game a sniper.
i think we can end up with builds on trickster to take the tank role, due to the generated shield. but i have not played around with trickster enough for that tbf its just a theory.
Devistator is either going to be completely overpowered at endgame og OK at best, we have to see how scaling vs level/worldtier/challengetier works
Purely assumption here, but i assume the futher we get into the game the more elemental damage will appear which does not get reduction from stuff like armour
1.Devastator (one man army)
2.Technomancer (healing machine and powerfull ability)
3.Pyromancer (depend to much on is heal but still good)
4.Trickster (run or die)

To be honest,, the devs said that they had to tone down the Pyro in the demo because he's sooo strong. Just wait until the game launches. He isn't gona need a buff,, he's gonna need a nerf. These are the words from the devs.
Pyro really only needs two mods to be strong in the demo, one to buff ignite and one to lower the cool down on our aoe mark (I forget the name). It definitely has a higher skill cap to play well, but it's very strong.
My class ranking are as follows:
Devastator, just love to get into the thick of things, and the interrupt skills are crazy.
Trickster, in and out, slows time and killing enemies gives you shield.
Pyromancer, burning shit up, need I say more? Although I died in the first couple levels using him
Technomancer, long range characters are not really my thing
I feel like everybody was sleeping on Devastator before the demo, they lost in every pre demo poll that I seen.
I gotta say, 4 classes in a 3 player game seems whack. Destiny has 3 classes and is 3 player. Borderlands has 4 classes and is 4 player. What's the deal, devs?
idk i main pyro with 120+ hours of farming and such and its easier for me to kill the tech and on par with the other 2. for one firewall makes them take 35% increased dmg and vuln + overheat hits everyone in the map lol which makes you heal if you kill any of them once you hit firewave hit overheat to do instant burst then follow up with 2nd fire wave. i shred so quick.
Based on the Demo the Technomancer should be on rank 10 with nothing between 3 and 10 because the Cooldowns are Garbage till you get them down to almost zero in my opinion played him for the prologe and 1 mission it was just painful to play with these cooldowns not even slightly fun to play compared to the other 3 classes.
Technomancer is easily gonna be #1 in the full game and here's why:
1) Blighted Rounds + Mod to return 30% ammo in clip on kill + Tools of Destruction minigun.
Basically the ability to mow down everything with a minigun that hit anything near the target and never run out of ammo. Never recharge, never have to wait for the skill CD, simply be a walking juggernaut spraying everything.
2) Bosses, the only class that can effectively heal without needing to kill enemies. Combine that to being the "sniper" class, they're tailored for killing bosses.
idk, technomancer has a MRK 1 mod that gives Tools of Destruction +135 anomaly power per kill with abilities, more kills equal more dmg to keep killing. He has another skill that gives him + 936 armor for the entire duration of Tools of Destruction. Technomancer might rely heavily on perks but if they are this scale of power, he will be a force to be reckoned with.
From what Ive played of all classes and I've beat the demo with all 4. The strongest to me is the Trickster and the weakest is the Pyromancer.
The Pyromancer and Technomancer need massive buffs to their healing mechanics. Pyro burn effects need to last longer to allow the chance to actually kill enemies on fire. Techno needs it's general healing buffed as the amount that heals compared to the damage you take when enemies rush you is so out of balance. Otherwise this games gonna be a massive must play for me!
If your pyro build during the demo is trash that's why he feels bad. His thermal bomb is great
