I really wanted to play like a month or 2 ago when the update dropped. But the damn game couldn't even launch. Not tech savvy like all, I couldn't really get an answer but there were people with my sam's problem. I sunk a lot of hours on release but I can't do that anymore since it won't even launch. Something about the unreal engine not working right.
I recently went back to outriders. I was using the game as a time dump. This game is exactly that. Fun absolutely, playing it hours upon hours a day, no. I do really enjoy the game when I am playing it, however after a couple hours of doing CT's I just get burned out
I can understand the appeal of a completely unrestricted "transmog" system. But I don't think it actually makes for a better game. You lose alot in terms of visual language that can otherwise be not only important to gameplay, but can very dramatically enhance the player experience.
Like anything, it's a tradeoff, and I think the best balance lies somewhere in the middle, not at the extreme end.
The biggest cons most games have is HIGH number stats. Usually games that have damage of like 1,000 to 10,000 are much harder to balance and scale. It's much easier to see how much damage you actually do when damage is closer to the lower numbers. One other con that drives me crazy is the percentage number of stats. They say the brought the drop rate for legendaries by 100% like wow! When in reality the base rate is like 2% so now it's actually only 4% chance for a legendary. It's the same with damage. You either do 100% of 50att equalling 100att OR 100% Att of the damage done AFTER crit or other DMG mods. Like 50att but with crit mod it's 150att THEN the 100% Att increase will turn it into 300att. It such a headache I know but now you understand… I think 🤣
I am happy that I managed to make Deathproof tank-tree immortal devastator whose dps is based on his armor and regen. It is so fun to be in the middle of 2 broodmothers and 3 crawlers, tank everything while shooting them in the face. The game was so grindy, buggy, frustrating and unrewarding at launch but they managed to fix most of the issues.
Outrider detected outrider detected!
Glad they took away the mechanic that changes reward according to how fast you complete, as you said the is a game to enjoy not to just rush throw it
The review is very good but some feedback, just in my opinion in a should you play it telling specs and bonuses of the end game you could've done more sumarised instead of datailing every piece of equipment i the video is a bit long, maybe you could try shaving some minutes
is it half an hour to hear already known fact that the game is not worth at this point ?
Keep trying to go back to it, always play solo and the game just kicks me randomally, spend ages working through stuff to lose all progress you made because they game is still fucked
Funny thing, I have decided to come back to the game not even knowing there's been a free dlc. At launch I only played for few hours and gave up due to technical difficulties. Man, do I enjoy the game now. I am half way through the campain and it's probably the best campain of any action game I've played. Combat is very satisfying as well. Glad I decided to give this game a second chance.
Paid actor. You must really like the game to keep coming back to it and making another video.
As someone who will not return I will still say the game is worth it; as the campaign is probably worth it, and out of my 80 hours, the first 40-60 were well worth it.
With that said I will never buy a game from this dev again if it has multiplayer and they still choose to use p2p, that is the main source of pain from Outriders that will always hold it back.
Remnants From The Ashes has the same problem with static levels that are always the same each time you play them. I had fun playing through it with a buddy but i can't motivate myself or him to play it again. I'm glad i got the gamepass thing so i can play outriders pretty much for free. I played a lot of division 2 but they removed a bunch of depth from the build aspect of the game by reducing the amount of talents/perks an equipment item can have for no apparent reason and looking at the amount of talents/perks on items you showed off in this video it made me install it. I also spend a lot of time on Warframe but i always get dizzy after a short session because the camera to avatar distance is so damn short it annoys the fuck out of me.
The game is SO GOOD. I hate saying it, but it's straight fun, yes they were making puppies with the launch, but god damn, the game is good, easy to pickup after being away for ahwile. One of my favorites from 2021. Great vid as always Force.
I honestly think if they add seasons it would be even better that is just what I'm thinking anyways
I was one of the people who got back to back crashes that made me lose progress., and I refunded the game right away. Such a shame, cause the game was pretty fun.
Really liked the premise of the game at the start and the fact that they got us a Demo right before launch.
Unfortunately the initial price tag threw me off in an instant. Here in Brazil it was the equivalent of $50, which is a lot, even if we managed to like the Demo showed. I`ve been trying to find reasons to finally buy it but with so many good games coming I feel like it would be a "waste" of money and time to start playing it now.
ok game but man does it get boring fast. didn't even finish the campaign. every mission is the same shit. go hide behind something, kill a bunch of shit, run to the next thing to hide behind, kill more shit, rinse and repeat. the weapon variety is extremely poor imo. would rather just go play borderlands
I played the game for 60 hours when it came out and enjoyed it. The story was okay in my opinion, finished it in like 30 hours or so and then stuck with the grinding for another 30. I didn't encounter many bugs, besides Technomancer gadgets falling through the damn ground when thrown in puddles in the later stages. The things I didn't like about the game were the facts that legendary gear dictated what your build should be (even though I was clearing rank 15 with my own Cryo Turret atrocity of a build) and legendaries having abysmal drop rates, which really turned me away from the grind.
I said it back then and I'll say it again, the game is a good game. It's not worth 60$ for everyone but it's on sale for 20$ right now and that really damn is worth the price.
Outriders is a huge glitchy mess. I cringe every time i hear someone "recommend" it
Looks so beautiful on my series x 4k HDR tv love the pyromancer
The worst that I ever had was random disconnects, and that's after a couple hundred hours of game play. After watching your video, I decided to hop back in considering most of my grievances came to classes and meta builds being the only way to play due to timers. First 15 minutes of being back in. I've been plagued with spam disconnects and cannot connect to servers. I'm still ready to give it another shot though.
Multiplayer is still absolute booty cheeks.
Re installing the game right now on game pass. I remember enjoying it when the game first came out, me and a buddy jumped on and kept getting disconnected from each other so we got frustrated and quit. Might as well check it out if it's free for me.
People: We dont care about "games as a live service", give me a complete product!
Ok, our game has a beginning and a ending, so you guys can enjoy the experience without thinking about it.
People: wE wAnT mOrE cOnTeNt UpdAtEs, RIgHt NoW! WHeRe ArE mY DLCs?!
Force, I love that you are covering Outriders and I'm a big fan of your content. I think that there are two groups of players playing Outriders. Firstly there are those who approach it with a Destiny mindset. The point of the game is to create a good or meta build and 'beat' the hardest content. Then the game is over. The second group, are those who look at the endgame as being about creating builds, finding combinations of class trees and mods that other people aren't using. For them, the expeditions are a sandbox to test and refine these builds. Once you have polished your build, you then move onto the next one. For the latter group, there are hundreds of hours of content, if not thousands, because Outriders has more mods and variety of classes / class trees than I have seen in any game outside of an RPG. On my channel I have more than 20 build guides and I am still coming across new combinations that I hadn't thought of before.
I don't think that this video has really considered the second groups of players and what outriders brings to the table for them. For me, its a must play game if you like using your imagination to create builds and with the changes New Horizon brought, it has only has got better.
Worth saying that neither group of players is wrong. The key to any game is to play it in the way you want to play it. But for those of you out there who want a change from games focused on beating a piece of content, give this game a go.
While Outriders faceplanted, hard, it did completely change the landscape of what is expected from a loot shooter. The legendary weapon appearance was beyond better than any previous game. The ability to equip any legendary in every slot was perfection. The ability to change stats and gear so easily was wonderful. The auto-loot collect was sublime. There were so mamy things PCF got right. So yes, overall it faceplanted, but I will absolutely buy another loot-shooter from this company. They have the right ideas, they just need the technical skills to implement them. I'm looking forward to all loot-shooters because of how far PCF pushed the benchmark. This is the best failed loot-shooter of all time, IMO.
Biggest beef i have is how linear everything is including farming endgame. Its always the same enemies in the same position with no randomness. Obviously this way because it was designed for trying to run it shorter and shorter times instead of the new method…basically so lame of experiance compared to 99% of looter games
I think the best transmog system would have to be ESO's Transmog system. Not only can you equip any type of armor on any class but you also have outfits that can replace what you're wearing. That being said, this definitely beats Destiny's transmog system to death.
I played it with gamepass, enjoyed it but at release wasn't worth the 60 yet.another reason I love gamepass. I don't waste money on games in unsure about
I haven't seen this game before but it looks terrible lol. Like a budget destiny or something.
