  1. So pre orders were shit on Xbox because users do not buy games and support devs forcing the developers to cut a deal with gamepass to make there money back that’s a Genius scam you guys have going not sure how viable it is though how long until 3rd party devs say don’t bother with x box the users don’t buy games we will end up having to cut a game pass deal just to brake even.

  2. Parris, any chance of seeing other Square games on XGP? Really glad that third parties are securing financially with these deals up front. Thanks for your opinion, my friend!

  3. Still makes perfect sense for it to arrive on GP. Square Enix had a bust with Avengers and lost a whole bunch of money.
This way they can maintain a steady playerbase. And I wouldn't mind Avengers joining GP, too, I'd like to give the game a shot. Just do not want to pay Square Enix any money.

  4. It isnt just a up-front financial gain for the developer of Outriders. Who knows if the player base would have been strong with just a regular release? A new franchise like that runs the risk of going the Anthem or Marvel way. Either dont have enough players from the get go or losing them fast. This way they will get a ton of players who otherwise wouldn't have even given it a shot. I know Im one of them who will now try it since its on Game Pass. And with it being on Game Pass and the possibility of allot of players testing it, if its good, the word of mouth will grow and all of a sudden you got a hit on your hands. So yes, they probably get a good up-front cash deposit. But the lifespan of the game has a way bigger chance of expanding now on Game Pass and THAT is a way bigger deal than any cash deposit from Microsoft. An absolute win for the developers.

  5. I love Game Pass been subbed since day 1 and even moved to Ultimate when it became available, but man do they really need to do a better job at unifying it across the board. As it stands right now it's pretty damn confusing to new users when they see "Outriders coming to Game Pass April 1st" then they buy a month of Game Pass on PC only to find out on April 1st that Game Pass PC is a different service than Game Pass Xbox. It just kinda goes against the whole single ecosystem Disney+/Netflix approach to have some devices get games but not others. I think part of the problem is deals are being made last minute so there is no time to prep a PC version (adding XBL, achievements etc) specifically for Game Pass PC before release and either they never get it or it's so late it doesn't particularly matter anymore.

  6. Hey Parris, I don't have twitter so figure this is the best way to get this message/thought across to you. With all of Microsoft's studios; If each studio released a game every 2 years, that could equate to a new first party exclusive Xbox game every single month. Even if it was a 4 year cycle per studio – still a new exclusive first party game every 2 months. CRAZY. Might be something worth bringing up on Xcast.

  7. Imo this gamepass puts xbox as the console to own. Sure exclusives are great but I have 5 people in my house that dabble in games and game pass is just a great value to get a boat load of games for a little bit of money monthly

  9. Wouldn’t play it even if the full game was free. I’ll let you boys play the mediocre games for me. Isn’t this game published by a AAA publisher, yet it looks like a Xbox 360 game with awful AI.
