Hey whats up fam! today we are going to be discussing if and why is outriders bad? did it die? did it flow? was outriders a failure on launch? what happened? apparently on assessment there has been a decent size of players playing the game around the populace of 3.5 million but most players have prevent from purchasing the game because it has become available on xbox pass? does xbox pass play a positive or negative role? thats a really good question because while this may allow for a game to flourish with a powerful community it can also potentially lead to a negative netgrowth on how much the game can get as profit so it can continue to make more content. it can be a double edge sword. What do you guys think about it being on game pass and platforms like that? Do you think it was a healthy decision for the community to have more players or an adverse effect on being able to make more money on the game? I did a bit of research to try to find what the sales profit margins were for outriders. but the most i was able to get was that the company that made the game “people can fly” has YET to receive roytalties from the game because it has yet to break EVEN! how crazy is that?!?!? A game that had an amazing campaign storyline with really amazing mechanics not able to break even yet we are not even talking about profit and because of that people can fly are not getting royalties yet. So with that alone it can be very difficult to do continious content if they been having issues with that so i can understand the troubles here but we are still getting world slayer so that is good to hear but as of release date it still hasnt said anything in the game besides coming soon. now did outriders flop? there was a lot of high hopes for this game when it first came out. but there were a variety of issues that kind of became a deterrent for it from having a bit of a rough launch with servers and players characters being wiped when playing crossplay/coop with friends after investing hours on them and not having enough end game content when the game came out it made it hard for people to want to stay engaged in the game. This is kind of the “strike when the iron is hot scenario” the iron was definetly hot with the game but at the time of release it was lacking certain end game aspects to keep the players engaged so eventually the hype disappeared and eventually its chance (but fear not cause there still is some spark in this amazing game) it just didnt capatilize on its initial release. There were also some deterrents with the game when before a few months of the game release there was announcements stating that there wont be any more end game content on it and that also pushed gamers from wanting to invest time in this game because there would be not point on investing time on a game that was stand alone gonna stop with the game package of what it delivered! But that seems to have all changed but was a bad message that should have never been given that pull some of the gaming population away for a bit of time
So did outriders die? I dont think so i think this game still has a lot of good stuff to offer and i really do hop that people can fly can get the royalties they deserver for making an amazing game. I just feel there might need to be something more to help them assist there. I’m never a fan of microtransactions by any means but if that does help the company become profitable to sustain and create content for the game, I never shy away from showing a company some financial support when possible and they make a good product where deep down i do feel this game is a good product. I really like this game and i dont think its bad at all. I feel it has alot of potential. Besides the devistator i think needs alittle more help it just needs more content. Wouldnt hurt to have micro transactions to help develop and support the game. It does deserve more credit. Like you said lets see what world slayer has to offer.
