We managed to fix Outriders on Steam Deck Steam OS so you can now run it locally. Thanks to ProtonDB users and a lot of trial and error on files and Anti Cheat directories we managed to get it up and running with a very quick fix.

  1. I was under the assumption "DXVK_ASYNC" came from a modified DXVK, and wasn't added to the main branches (but is with the version included with ProtonGE)

  2. DXVK_ASYNC is a bad idea. Here is the warning on Proton GE page "Allows Async to be used with DXVK. This can help with stutter in some games, however it is recommended not to be used with games that have sensitive anti-cheats. Use at your own risk.".
