*devs announce endgame multiple times
Youtubers: there is no endgame
…
The opening of Outriders is a disservice to the rest of the demo, setting it up as a cover shooter. I almost dropped it, but then I started playing it as if it were a run'n'gun action game: aggressively approaching enemies and firing off my powers frequently instead of keeping them in reserve for emergencies. After that, I was pretty much hooked. I can certainly see why people would drop it within the first hour or two, before you start getting mods for your powers.
There have been recent patches to fix crashes, inventory wipes, and multiplayer matchmaking. Hopefully that'll be enough for a successful launch. I do appreciate how open the devs have been about these problems on social media. The jankiness of the cover system is pretty frustrating, and I wish they would have gone the DOOM route and just designed set pieces to be circled around or jumped onto. The game works far, far better when you realize the cover exists primarily for enemies, not players.
As for endgame, that's an interesting nut to crack. Unlike Destiny, Diablo, or the Division, this is not a game that's meant to be played forever. The devs have mentioned that Outriders is a "complete experience" multiple times; there's a story campaign that takes about 30 hours and a post-campaign that takes about 80. If someone buys Outriders expecting to play for several hundred in randomized dungeons, they'll be disappointed. I actually don't mind a game that knows when to end, and appreciate that I'll be playing through designed scenarios instead of running Greater Rifts ad nauseum.
wolcen was supposed to be the chosen one….but i knew deep down last epoch would be the better of the two
One day we'll all be huddled up with our grandchildren, our arthritic fingers on some retro controller, and we'll stumble upon the announcement that a 3rd party modder finally fixed Wolcen after decrypting the source code.
I see why u only got 300 views nobody wanna clickbait video u don’t even know what your talking about in this video just rambling about stuff you don’t even understand
