  1. Oh no, he's talking about me lol. Yea you are right though it's definitely not going to kill Borderlands. So many games have come out that suppose to be the Destiny or Borderlands killer and they just go nowhere. However, I do think that this game has the potential to sit beside those two games if they listen to the community and fix problems with the game like you said. Let's just hope that happens because I am always down to grind another looter shooter!

  2. Gameplay wise it looks promising but aesthetically it just seems so bland and generic. I do wish for it to be good since i see a lot of people hyped for it. Not for me I guess.

  3. Bro you spoke so much facts. Especially about the similarities between warframe. I can easily see this game as very very build heavy in endgame with tons of crazy build possibilities.

  4. Omg the loot is instanced thank god. Yeah the game looks good. Borderlands killer? No lol- gearbox already did that- jkjk 😂.. but yeah borderlands and warframe had a baby that became outriders- im pleasantly surprised tbh

  5. It’s not supposed to be a live service game continually expanded, it’s meant to be complete at launch, a one and done game which is actually quite refreshing to be honest. They don’t care if you don’t spend a thousand hours on it, it’s not a game you’re meant to spend your soul on, it’s just a fun action game you jump onto for twenty thirty hours and have a blast, you play it alongside other game you don’t need to play it at the expense of everything else. This idea that the game has failed if you aren’t playing it for months is the wrong way of thinking, if you had fun playing it for a while then it’s done it’s job.

Hopefully they fix any bugs and then if it sells well then hopefully six months down the line we'll get an expansion, last thing I want is another service model game I feel I constantly need to play or I fall behind the curve, games with bullshit daily quests, login rewards, mtx and battle passes aren’t for me so I’m hoping this game is as complete at launch as they say as it look good fun to play for a couple of weeks.

  6. Dont know why the hell people are always complaining and comparing games to each other, play the damn thing and enjoy it for what it is, its own content. Playing the same game for years even with updates and dlc content gets stale real fast, i take breaks from games i love and play others for veriaty, that does not mean i no longer love the other game "it means i need a break from it" and after that game when i go back its fun again.

  7. I'll give it a try. I mean, what are you still doing in Borderlands 3 anyway ? People are only playing with a few maps now. I have probably killed Graveward and Wotan thousands of times… Time for something new.

  8. In the end its the endgame that defines the overall quality of these kinds of games, so comparing it now to BL3 for example is pretty pointness. Therefore I'd say it has a potential for being better looter-shooter than BL3, wich at this point point is not even better than BL2. I have very liitle experience with 3rd person shooters (well, the best ive played are probably Max Paynes long ago) but gunplay and very dynamic combat made really good impression on me so far, and Ive only tried one class.

  9. What excites me the most is that Outriders are not supposed to be game-as-service – the concept that a I absolutely despise in AAA singleplayer games. Bc of this treatment I stopped playing BL3, wich is not improving after 50+ updates from the release…

  10. Well…. Lemme put it like this: Unless the level design in this game improves and opens up very significantly after the part of the story that is included in the Demo, I don't think Outriders is gonna be much of a worry for the folks at Gearbox. Like, people are enjoying the gameplay a lot, but I'm honestly wondering if the game is still gonna have much of a playerbase, say in early june. The levels are just so linear and also honestly quite short and the side missions just don't seem to offer a lot of spice most of the time. I haven't played the demo myself, but watched streamers play it and well… The sidequests that I have seen were rather short and often didn't offer much uniqueness and the maps you play in are basically tailor-made for an individual sidequest and don't seem to offer much replayability besides that.

Fight your way through one, or maybe two small combat arenas, fight a mini-boss, finish. It just feels weird, like the devs put in the effort to make a small map just for each individual mission, even including extra cutscenes, but then the mission itself is super bland to play.
Like, there's one mission where you are supposed to find a missing officer. You fight your way through like one small area, kill a generic mini-boss and then you are at the end of the area, trigger a cutscene and that cutscene is basically the rest of the quest. It's an entertaining cutscene that involves a big scary monster, a dose of black humor and some instant karma, but then the mission is already over and you return to hand it in, and then you might realize that the entire mission just involved a minor amount of mobbing and killing one of those dime-a-dozen captain minibosses. It would have been more interesting if it had made you play hide and seek with the monster a little or if finding that officer in and of itself had involved any amount of challenge.

  11. Judging from the way it looks I'd say its competition for The Division. Where games like this fail is not having at least 6 months worth of content.

  12. The game is fun. Will it kill Destiny 2 or Borderlands? No. I enjoy all those games and this will be just another game I will enjoy playing. I do like how you can break your gear apart to put on other gear.

  13. I found it buggy, repeating audio, large deadzone while aiming. I wished it was more open world than set routes. Looking at the visuals there were plenty of chances to make the game play more varied in elevation (being able to climb stories in built up areas for better a sniping vantage). A lot of great potential if little corrections are made.

And final point of great consideration… tell me a game Square Enix has abandoned ever?

  14. No, it’s not a Borderlands killer.

Borderlands is all about loot and nonsense stuff.

This is mostly like destiny without the Gods ennemies complex.

It’s just another game and that’s it. There is no killers.

  15. Nope. In MY OPINION, it won't "kill" bl3, the point of that game is to farm and get gear and do it again…. And mob and fight bosses…. I've been a borderlands fan since 09' since the first one, some people don't enjoy that and THAT is fine… But that's how it works… In MY OPINION it won't kill it…. Even if it's a " better" game….
