I’ve said this before Playstation gamers are the most toxic gamers in the console community. a lot of that has to do with them being the biggest audience as well as having the biggest user base of 14-25 males. but this is a bigger overall problem with cross platform gaming, toxicity as whole in the gaming community, as well as any social construct that allows you to hide behind a fake identity. your average Outrider players know all to well this game has become a breeding ground of toxic players, not on the level of say a Call of duty game, but up there. So if you are an outriders player what do you think can be done to stop BS moments like this?
Side not for those wondering why I am calling out PlayStation users, it is because I have owned all 3 major consoles every single generation and have played every single major multiplayer game on both platforms. The overwhelming experience is that PlayStation user are more toxic. Toxic being language, in game action (driving the wrong way in race game), going AFK (away from keyboard) meaning the stop moving, sabotage (like holding on to the bomb and not planting Search and destroy), just to name a few. Every single really bad experience I have had in a game across 4 generations of gaming they have almost always been on the PlayStation side. Sony also has the worst system to find, block, and report users of abuse in games. leaving it up to each game to implement their own system which most games don’t. the same way outriders has no system to deal with toxic or abusive players in their game, especially cross platform players. while a simple answer is to turn cross platform off the honest truth is there is not enough players on any one platform to get the player power needed to enjoy the game at end level events which is half the game running expeditions. I am going to go way out the way to try to curate and join different discords and communities to try groups of decent players. but the truth sometimes just want to play with having to spend time setting things up in a discord lobby hoping people respond.
Lastly you get no loot when this happens, before a patch they could kick you right before the loot comes at the end. players like this should be banned from playing online with others, but yeah best to make your own match and hope match making puts people in your game. this shouldn’t happen regardless but when you beta test a 60 dollar game that is doing something almost no other game done before this is going to happen. RIP outriders, you tried so hard. Videogame making is hard AF.

Just an update about the game since they did release a new patch. (To keep it simple should you come back or give this a game a 1st time try with this new update? The answer is absolutely not. For more details keep reading) The stability of game is improved significantly. I have only disconnected twice, bugs have been fixed, main one being items showing as new when they are not (others still reamin). There is improvement in sign in however it still is an issues. There's still a 20 to 30% chance you just won't be able to log in at least on series x. Lag also is an issue when I play with others. No one lags playing with me. However matching making can sometimes leave your lobby empty even though people are playing and searching for games. I have no disconnects while the game was loading the end mission rewards since this current patch. An issue that made me quit playing. Rewards drops are improved but getting duplicates of the most useless gear is still a problem (no one wants more cannonball armor drops 😑) . Overall this is the only good patch that was released. As I did not receive anything from 'thank you' free legendary and other items. I don't know why and there's no helpful way to contact them to get the issue resolved. So for those still playing the game this is the best patch to this game and should have been the day 1 patch. It is nice to see them still working on the game as videogames are so freaking hard to make. Despite what youtubers like to say people still play and enjoy this game and probably always will the same way people still mass effect 3 online
I honestly take back what I said early they game still has severe sign in issues on my xbox series x. It just doesn't work. I spent the patch day getting in ok and I haven't been able to sign in at all today. I don't know what to tell yall
