I said I wasn’t going to go back to Outriders until they buffed legendary drop rates, and after two and a half months, they’re finally about to deliver. In the next patch, People Can Fly is planning sweeping buffs to the legendary drop rate and drop mechanics, not bothering to “explain” the drop rate like they said they were going to before they made changes, but just…doing it. The changes are significant, enough to get me actually excited about trying to farm for multiple builds again. Here’s what’s happening as of the next patch (not sure on the exact date of that yet, sometime early next week):These are great changes. It’s not full target farming or anything, but a 100% increase combined with multiple rolls and improved luck is absolutely a great start. And yes, it will get me playing again, at least for the time being, like I said it would. In addition to everything above they are essentially re-doing the appreciation package, which was supposed to give players a legendary they didn’t have. Many didn’t get anything and some got a duplicate. They’re just re-doing the whole thing again, and not taking away loot that was acquired. Which is good because I got a perfect Deathshield, so leave that alone. This will be a great patch. It may not solve all the game’s issues, but it is a significant step forward that would have been ideal a month and a half ago, but still, I’m glad it’s happening all the same. There is no point in being overly stingy in your PvE only game, and I’m glad they’ve come to realize that. I will be playing this patch next week and will report my findings then.
